    Greatest sandals ever! I've been wearing them since they were made outside the Laguna Beach Sawdust Festival. My dad bought me my first pair and I've never worn another brand since! They last forever. My favorite is the hemp.

    I miss the style of rainbow sandals that were available in the 1970's. They were black rubber top and sole with one, two or three layers of colored rubber in between. The straps were a very durable nylon that usually coordinated with the sandwiched colors/color You could get them made to order. A lot of people would be interested in those if they came back. They were awesome. Any chance they'll come back?

      Check out the New Classic Rubber (in single or double layer) on their website. I bought a pair because, though I love the leather top & strap ones, they chafe me if they’re wet. I now have the Double Layer New Classic Rubber and they are exactly as you describe and just as comfortable and stylish.

    The double layer kind are much better,you can actually run in them, and they break in better, lasting longer without going flat.

    I have always had a good product from Rainbow. My sandals usually last from about a year to two years before I wear through the top or bottom layer but my last pair lasted about 6 months when the side strap came unglued. I sent pictures of the top and bottom which were not worn through and said that they would not hold there guaranty because it was worn through the bottom or the top. I asked them where was it worn through and they never respond back. Talk about running from there guarantee. I could of bought cheaper ones for six months.

      Would you still recommend the brand? I wear sandals most of the time indoor, and when I'm in the Caribbean I need something sturdy and slip-resistant. I don't know much brand other than Reef and Rainbow but people have been saying they're not what they used to be. It seems nowadays all that brands want to do is sell products with programmed 6 months short shelf life as fast and often as possible to create a loop, but people are sick of this and definitely can and want to pay the price for something that last.

      Which kind have you been buying? I just don’t see how it’s possible to last a year or less, unless it is the sole pair of shoes you wear, hiking through the desert, wearing them in the water, I can’t even think of how actually!! The hemp ones can last a lifetime I guarantee it!! Also, I really don’t think they were trying to dodge you lol, they’re a suuuper busy company you should have tried calling once more

      Xainfinen abso-frikkin-LUTELY!!! They’re fantastic. Raised on the beach and these are the ONLY flip flop brand I would ever buy again, period!! I would recommend the hemp ones for the Caribbean

      Kara Lantz Actually I tried every which way to get in contact with them again by calling them to emailing them and they kept ignoring me so I contacted the Better Business Bureau and then they called me and said that they were going to replace them that and they made a mistake.
      I love rainbow sandals and they’re a great pair of sandals. They last a long time. I wear sandals every single day. And the rainbow sandals usually wear out on the top leather from getting wet or I wear them out on the bottom. in which makes the warranty void and I’m still happy with them as long as the straps don’t break.

    • @christopherrogers6961
      @christopherrogers6961 Před 4 lety +1

      Xainfinen yes I still recommend rainbow sandals and they’re still the only ones I wear. I live at the beach in Santa Cruz California but I am also a commercial truck driver and I wear them all day regardless of whether I’m at the beach or not. They really take a beating. The pair that I received were just bad and the strap came out and the rest of the sandal was still very good hence the purpose for the guarantee. They probably get a lot of people trying to return bad sandals and they just wrote off my complaints without looking at it maybe I don’t know. But it did take me calling the Better Business Bureau to contact them about their warranty for them to actually contact me back and apologize. They had good photographs that showed that the sandals were still in good condition when the straps came apart.

      Tim Coll high quality materials, molds to your foot and gets super comfortable, they last for a long time (I've seen people who have have them 12+ years) and rainbow has a great warranty!
      If you want quality, it'll cost you but beware or the imitators, just because it costs you doesn't mean it's quality. :)

      And they donate your old rainbows after they refurbish them to those in need.
      I have plantar fasciitis and they are amazing for the arch support. 302 all the way!
