    I totally empathize with your second floor issues! Same here! I do love the light I get up there, though. Thanks for sharing!

    Great tips. I just began renting the last spot available in a building that I like the feel of. I only visited once before deciding. My hurry was because my other rental booth space is relocating across town and since I had concerns about the business, I have to do the work of moving no matter what, I stumbled accidentally across the new flea market that I am just moving into! So, basically, I broke all the rules due to time concerns. So, I am befriending the employees, letting them know I want to grow, and making my space the best I can!

    Thank you for the tips. I am thinking about starting a business that I had planned for a few years but was afraid of putting in a lot of money and no return/profit. I recently thought about doing flea markets. I will definitely ask all of those questions when inquiring about a booth. Also I never thought about items getting lost. Thanks for that tip. I'm sure it's like Walmart/target when someone sees something then walk around the store then decide they don't want it that person just drop it wherever they are. I hope some people actually bring it back to the booth they found it but some may not.

    I just went to your booth recently and it was very cute! I didn’t see everything so I will be going again!

    I started at a place that had barcoding, it was actually a pain. We had to provide a list of items and request the barcode stickers (2-3 days in advance), scan out anything we removed from the shop (and scan it back in if we brought it back) and anytime we wanted to change a price we had to request a new barcode tag from the owner (again, that couldn't happen immediately. So, it was pretty inflexible. Overall, good vid and good info! Very accurate that it is A LOT of work. =)

    My biggest lesson is do not rent a space that has immediate opening. Get on a waiting list. My booth at the immediate opening mall was a major flop. Just got into my waiting list mall and I have sold more in 2 weeks than in 2 months at the other.

      That’s an awful tip. If I have Louis Vuitton I could sell it through a trashcan. I could sell it in a gang infested area good merchandise can sell anywhere now if you’re talking about cheap items then you’re still gonna go broke overpriced good items good prices sell anywhere.

    Thank you for the tips. Renting a space soon. Do you usually recover your rent with sales each month? Break even or more

      @Tania_VolverVintage  Před 2 lety +1

      Everything 😊 most months I made profit but usually in the summer I’d break even.

    I've been to Pomona Antique Mall on several occasions. It's a nice place to shop. I'm more i interested in home goods and pottery. I've found several nice pieces there. Be aware however that in my first visit there this past summer I purchase several items (8) some were discounted others were not. The older lady there however, gave me a discount for ALL the items 😕😕😕. She didn't bother looking up who had a sale going on. I am also a reseller and I was looking for a booth to rent but the fact that this lady didn't check to see which items were on sale discouraged me from renting a booth. So be aware of that.

      I'm happy to read your comment. I guess it's best to have an inventory count on the items so that you know what is missing or the money for the item doesn't match up right

    Can you tell me what is the best thing to resell on eBay/Amazon because I own a lot of cds and records, but I also own a lot of vintage toys. I think it’s time to sell them and get some cash

    How do the customers pay? Do they pay at the cash register and than the store pays you or do you have to be there to receive the payment directly from the customer? Does that make sense?

    • @Tania_VolverVintage
      @Tania_VolverVintage  Před 2 lety +2

      Hi! Yes the customers pay at the register like a normal store. Each item is tagged and the store keeps track and pays out the following month.

    How does one make any profit with gas being so expensive?

    • @Tania_VolverVintage
      @Tania_VolverVintage  Před 2 lety +1

      I’m spending $50 to fill up my gas tank every 2 weeks 🤷🏻‍♀️ simply pick up a 2 extra items a week that will net you $20 and you’re good 🤑 but I get it. I’m not out sourcing every day. I’ve been buying in bulk so I’m out sourcing every other week or two now.
