How I Beat a Hardcore Nuzlocke of Pokémon Renegade Platinum

- In this video, I recount the story of my Pokémon Renegade Platinum Hardcore Nuzlocke Journey.
Hardcore Nuzlocke Ruleset:
1. Fainting = Death
2. Can only obtain my first met Pokémon in each location
3. Must nickname all Pokémon
4. No items in battle (held items allowed)
5. No leveling past the next gym leader
6. Must play on “Set” battle mode
Additional Rules for this run:
7. No legendary or mythical Pokémon allowed
8. No stat-boosting moves (i.e. Swords Dance and Nasty Plot) allowed
9. EVs removed
10. Weather Moves + Abilities Banned
11. Substitute banned
12. Encore banned

Very well played throughout! Vic was an absolute beast, even if there may have been a couple points where safer plays would have risked less. If you want another really fun and difficult game to nuzlocke, I highly recommend Vintage White. Great video!

I am also in a Renegade Nuzlocke right now, with similar rules to yours. Right now I'm in the victory road before Marley. I didn't ban Weather, but Milotic and Garchomp as Encounters, because they are just too strong in the hack.
Nice! Yeah I considered banning some encounters like that, but I figured that I already had enough restrictions. Good luck!

Like I played the version that didn't have Fairy types and could catch all Legendary and Mythical Mons in game, but other Nuzlockes I watched of the same game, Fairies are present now

You'd think the AI would be smarter in a Romhack, there are some that actually do have smarter AI, where they see everything your Mon has. So let's say if you switched Lucario to avoid a Close Combat but then your Dusknoir gets hit with Shadow Claw instead 😳

Isn’t it suppose to be 1 encounter / gift Pokémon per city / route? You took charmander and the baby Pokémon from the same city??
Drayano actually updated it to make the trainer school counts as its own encounter location in this game, so the baby came from there!
