"The original. The icon. Sapporo Premium Beer is a refreshing lager with a crisp, refined flavor and a clean finish. The perfect beer to pair with any meal and any occasion. Kampai!"

Among beer geeks, Sapporo is probably the most highly regarded of the four major breweries in Japan.
Really? I didn't know that. Thanks for the information, JCBR!
Yeah, too bad he doesn't have access to some of the stuff Sapporo puts out here. He liked Kirin Ichiban and Asahi Super Dry. He'd definitely like Black Label and Classic. They aren't irresistible, but definitely a cut above your typical macro lager.
Great review as always. Many thanks. This is one of my all time favorite beers
Thanks, and you're welcome!
Drinking a Sapporo now. I like it. 👍 thankyou for the review. 🙏🏻✨️
You're welcome, and have you ever tried their Reserve or Black?
@@ronaldtheriot Never heard of Sapporo black until your podcast. Will keep my eyes open 😴 Thank-you 🙏🏻
Just cracked the 22OZ. silver can. I have not had this for many years and wanted to give it another try. These cans are sold individually here in Carlsbad, NM. This can states that it was brewed in Vietnam and has the address. ALC is 4.9%. I find it light and refreshing with some taste that is different. Can't put my finger on it. I find it to be a middle of the road lighter beer.
Have you ever tried the Sapporo Reserve or the Sapporo Black?
No. I have never seen either before. I would thy them though.
A sweet and delicious macro lager. It almost reminds me of a festbier or marzen!
Really? Wow.
I swear I thought of u while I was purchasing it..and was thinking when the last time u did a sapporo review haha..enjoy broski..u come to my mind every time I buy beer now 😂 and see u reviewing it in my head ..cheers 🍺 🍻
Thanks for your support, beatmaker1979. Cheers, back to you!
Six months ago I got a great deal on this beer. $10.99 for a 12-pack.. it's a really great product 🍺👍🏾. Good review Jay 😁
That WAS a good deal, Jean! Thanks!
good one....i always called it japweiser.
Thank you!
It’s irresistible when it’s served with some Hibachi. I never knew it was brewed in LaCrosse. Here I thought it was shipped across the ocean when in actuality it was shipped across the river. Cheers 🍻.
Yes, it's been North American-brewed for a good while, now.
I had Asahi Super Dry and Kirin First Press not too long ago and thought they're both excellent, especially the Asahi. I'll have to pick up some Sapporo to refresh my memory. Good review!
Excellent idea, and thanks!
Cannot go wrong with a Sapporo and Sushi!!! Cheers, PROST and Enjoy....The Booze Geek...
I agree, and cheers, back to you!
This is Stan from "Two Rednecks and an Import " Sapporo is fantastic! I wish the American breweries were still brewing their own versions of the Japanese style beers 🍻
I wish so, too. Thanks for watching, Two Redneck and an import#beer. I appreciate it!
Great review!
Last year at Lidl (local supermarket nearby my home) they had this in 600ml sturdy cans and in this bottle too at the same time (bought them both). I saw the abv was different (can 5.0 and bottle 4.8) and take a time to read side by side the differences. Thing is bottled version is brewed in Ireland and the canned version from Vietnam. I prefere the canned version, it has more taste and its more smooth.
Darwin's Beer Reviews had the canned reviewed btw.
I remember back when we only got the Japan-brewed bottles and cans. I wish Lidl would come to Louisiana.
I live in Japan. In Sapporo, actually. I've drank Sapporo Premium (in various countries, including the US). In my opinion, it's inferior to what we typically drink here called Sapporo Black Label (not to be confused with Sapporo Black).
I'd love to try some authentic, Japanese-brewed Sapporo brands. Thanks for watching, Anthony Krese. I appreciate it!
Cheers lbr concise review only had the all malt version remembering above-average
Thanks, TC, and cheers, back to you!
This is my go to beer. I'm in Vietnam currently but have visited Japan and can tell you it tastes the same. I prefer this over the 100% malt, but would like to try black. I've never had it before.
Oh, the Black is so delicious. Thanks for watching, FG. I appreciate it!
I lived in Japan for over a year. Sapporo beer was one of my go-to's while living there, but I have to say... the bottled and canned versions that are available in the U.S. are very different in body and taste to what I got in Japan. In fact, I would say the U.S. (North American?) version was, in my opinion, far better to what was being sold in Japan. I know that seems strange... maybe even backward, but I have to say... they tasted like two entirely different beers. I even got to visit the Sapporo Beer Garden in Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan and still... the beer tasted different. It seemed far lighter and less robust than what we get in the West. Nevertheless, it was still a go-to beer for me while I lived in Japan. Just an odd curiosity for me.
That IS an odd curiosity, to say the least. Thanks for watching, librapaladin81. I appreciate it!
Mate let me tell u a fact, Yebisu is the flagship product line of Sapporo beer products, and u should give it a try, it is just outstanding
@@leoyu1070 Now, I have to find it.
Ilove sapporo
Same, here.
Good review, I usually try a Sapporo when I am in a Japanese restaurant. It’s ok but I never really buy it when I go to the store. It’s not what I call a memorable beer.
Thanks. Yes, it's good, but not exactly memorable.
Doesn’t Louisiana restrict the ABV? I think the Sapporo outside LA is a different beer, also I’m drinking it from a can (fizzics system). Agree, very good.
No, I am unaware of any Louisiana restrictions. We get extremely strong beers, here. Thanks for watching, Gghostrrider. I appreciate it!
@@ronaldtheriot Many years ago I went to Louisiana, back when beer used to have a state stamp, I could have sworn the beer In Louisiana (Budweiser) was much weaker than what we got at home (Alabama, Georgia). Maybe I was just hyped to be in the Crescent City but we couldn’t get a buzz.
That's strange, because it was the same stuff.@@gghostrrider
A minus here it’s got it all bit not sure about the contacted brewing
Yeah, lots of contract brewing going on, these days.
