What would they discuss? Would they talk past each other? Make any progress? Would anyone want to hear them? Economist Robin Hanson and philosopher Agnes Callard decided to find out.

Robin Hanson and Agnes Callard are two of my fave contemporary thinkers for their intellectual boldness and willingness to test their ideas against the current (phrase borrowed from Isaiah Berlin). I know Robin from his Overcoming Bias blog and Agnes from her video on the Socratic Method which led me to read some of her scholarly work as a trained philosopher myself. I hope you keep this channel alive, in CZcams it takes a while for things to gain traction.

I would like to add to the conversation the role of attachment and trauma. The way we were attached to our parents when we were small children is often repeated in the way we attach ourselves to our romantic partner as adults. And our developmental trauma in childhood influences the capabilities we have as adults to feel safely connected in intimate relationships. The Polyvagal Theory and the attachment theories provide much insights in these visions.
