In my area we're told to use vinegar and hot water. The same applies for a stingray sting, but with that you'll need to go to the hospital to get it removed.

Omg I literally saw a blue bottle today like 5 times and the lifeguards had no idea so I let them know at they thanked me and said no problem and they asked me where I learnt it from and I said bondi rescue. Thanks so much bondi lifeguards first teaching me what to do in situations. I basically saved the beach from getting stung by bluebottles. Which is the worst sting i know of. The only thing im most terrified of is the ocean creatures, there are some small yet dangerous as fuck things living in there. The thing that freaks me out is that you cant usually see them while having fun at the beach, they just crawl up to you and attack you
