hand tamping... LOL I need a 7.5 gauge tamper, man would I

Man, what a neat place and such a cool tour Matt gave us. I love that Mountain Division with those steep grades, and it was especially cool that Matt's little engine had regenerative braking! I'd sure love to see and hear some of those steam engines working that grade! 😍👍

loved it! It would be so awesome if they can install a camera in the engine/locomotive and stream it on their website. That way people could watch the train going down the track in scale with HUUUUUGE trees!😁 That way they can also draw more people in, and possibly make some revenue from it to help the railroad. It's a labor of love and I would absolutely love to see them do well so generations can enjoy it also.

thought of doing that? Although they don't run trains except on
special occasions so it wouldn't be a daily thing to stream.

I hope you had a great time visiting my home state of Ohio! I've been all over the state and never realized this was part of it and I will have to check it out. I was talking to one of my buddies the other day, who works for a magnetite company in WV, who said one of the truck drivers had to deliver to a mine in Greene County, PA. When I asked him which mine and he told me Cumberland, I immediately thought of you and your channel. Thanks for the videos, Dave!
That's very interesting to hear Friday Night Flights, I have no
idea who we get our magnetite from just know that every week
a tractor trailer pulls in with it. We love going to Ohio, lot's of

Dave, with the experience and know-how you have you could build your own version of this with some scrap wood and a sharp pocket knife! Shouldn't take but a week or two for you to get it done!!!

Thanks Dave a little different, enjoyable though...I call it a check rail too hehehe..also here in Melbourne Australia (MetroTrains) we are currently trialing plastic ties with some installed at Melbourne's Flinders Street Station they have been in a few years now and we have some dotted across the network in yards, with assessments regularly taking place on warping, twisting or sun breakdown. regards Doc from Down Under

Rails are steel and aluminum, the ties are made from treated
wood but composite wood like my deck would last forever

Wow, very fascinating riding on toy trains. I wonder what the weight limit is for individuals who take a ride? A 200 lb man 300 lb man, or 400 lb man? Do you have any idea, Mr. Dave? Also being that one tunnel had a height limit, Also wonder what height a man has to be? I am 6'6", I surely would not want to hit my head on a tunnel, lol. Thanks for posting Mr. Dave. Also my P.S. on the end, we just had Tropical Storm Debby pass by us about 75 miles to our west, we had buckets of rain 7 inches in 12 hours, some wind, mostly around 35 mph with gusts to 50 mph. But the storm will be upon you in Southwestern PA by 2:00 pm today, Friday. Ya'll will have a bunch of rain, make your grass grow. I just had my yard cut last Friday, August 2 nd and after all this rain, it looks like it had not been cut at all. I'll get my Yard man to come and wack at it again once the rain stops. Very nice setup. Did a 'conductor' tell everyone to keep arms and legs in at all tunnels and bridges or did they assume most folks have some walking around sense?
Assume you have enough sense to do that 47fireguy16. Have to sit in the center of the car on that narrow of gauge or the car

Our biggest is 2.5% that 5% grade they had actually didn't seem
that steep and his little loco went right up it with no wheel spin

Mill Creek gets aluminum track and if your serious you need
to buy it from them cause they get it a lot cheaper than

If/when you retire from Synergy, you could probably get a job at the Mill Creek Central. Smaller, lighter, track, etc.

@@ccrx6700 you need to visit "Train Mountain", its in Oregon, and has over 37 actual miles of 7.5 inch gauge track...........and you need to take a day off to visit Titan Trains in Boones Mill Virginia, but theyre only open monday-thursday.

Good to see that since we usually see you working hard all the time. Boy, this is every train fan or hobbyist dream!🤠 How about having a big train set like this to play on in your own backyard! These kind of set ups are so cool. I was going to get to go down in Arkansa with my daughter for my upcoming Sept.56th Birthday, and ride a real train down there, but sad to say we had to cancel.
