Many people convert Samurai to Shogun but there are sellers who actually inform before that it's a samurai converted to shogun and that's actually good of them.
Induction resonator (power box) can be connected to samurai too by using Supra power up manifold. Version 1 samurai never had a heat guard. So let me give some more information on this, The complete checklist: Shogun's (+Shaolin and Supra SS) inlet manifold is tangentially inclined while 100 cc (samurai, MAX, AX100, AX100R, Supra, Supra power up) inlet manifold will be straight. Shogun (+ ")'s top three fins at the cylinder are protruding (at the inlet manifold / carburettor side) while 100 cc cylinder fins won't be protruding. As you said, there are three fins outside the ram for the big bore 7 port machines (shogun shaolin supraSS) while it is two for 100 cc 5 port induction bikes such as samurai. Another important point is the weld joint position of the silencer in between the divergent cone and the straight cylindrical pipe: for shogun, shaolin and Supra SS, the weld precedes the mounting point by almost 2 inches, while the weld will be beneath the mounting point for 100 cc vehicles (Supra has an S mark engraved there, and it is 11 mark for Supra power up, early AX100 had inbuilt baffles because the end cap is welded to the silencer;, later AX100 had 3 baffles on the core with an end cap, supra , supra PU had 3 baffle core, some AX100R had 3 baffles; some AX100R had two. MAX and Samurai (both catalytic and non catalytic) had two. Shogun shaolin supraSS have 4 Reed petals while the 100 cc 5 port ones have 3 or 2 Reed petals [ (AX100, Supra, Supra PU - 3; AX100R, MAX, Samurai -2) (R mark emboss on left side third fin from bottom for 2 Reed petal machines such as AX100-R, MAX, Samurai; S mark for Supra and Supra power up; no emboss for AX100)] Coming to carburettor part, AX100, Supra power up and Shogun shaolin supra SS had Mikuni VM 20 SS which is bigger and heavier while AX100R, MAX series, Samurai and the 9.65 bhp supra had 18 mm carburettor. An easy way to distinguish the carburettors is that the idle screw of the 20 mm can be adjusted by fingers while we need screw driver to adjust the 18 mm carburettor. Also, the part identification number of the 18 mm carburettor is engraved in vertical plane while it is tangentially inclined and repositioned a little higher in the case of 20 mm carburettors. Among the 20 mm carburettors, Shogun, Shaolin and Supra SS have 2T oil pump connecting provision. Carburettor identification: AX100: 234-40 AX100R: 234-60/61 MAX Samurai same as AX100R But early had Mikuni, later had ukal-mikuni, much later had ucal and some even had pacco Supra - 234-50/51 Supra power up - 234-70 Supra SS, Shogun, Shaolin : 23-48 Shogun and other big bores' Reed valve is superficial and can be removed without dismantling the head or cylinder while the 100 cc machines' head and cylinder are to be removed to take out the Reed valve because it is deep seated. Catalytic Shogun silencer heat guard cover never covers the divergent cone (and it had a unique kicker too) and it covers only the straight pipe and it had only two bolts Samurai max heat guard cover is longer and it has two bolts and one screw.

I had been a proud Shogun owner in the glorious past.. year 2000 to 2006...i will say simple steps...1. shogun engine bore size is huge big size...here also u can get confused as suzuki Shaolin has somewhat similar engine bore size 2. Shogun original silencer sound is electrifying even with a catalytic converter...but if u add a KRP exhaust charger it will sound much much devastating than Shaolin or samurai... simply by looking its engine and sound and initial pickup are enough to say if its original shogun or not... nothing much are needed than these
@@neyonzio9700 Suzuki Shogun Clearly has more Power than rx100 or rx135 becoz Shogun was given 8500 rpm while Rx comes with only 7500rpm, horse power bhp is also bigger in Shogun..if you add exhaust Charger Shogun firing is unbearable for ears simply destroys others on road
Mumbai I am not too sure of any place, I am from down south from Bangalore . You can put headlight fearing for the Samurai but it would need some level of modification
