Wrestling Empire, created by MDickie, is a wrestling game available on Switch, Steam and mobile devices. It's a very unique release and not like anything else you've played in the past. The game has a strong emphasis on backstage happenings, you'll have the oppurtunity to roam around the city before your matches (you can visit the hotel, the hospital and even the cemetery) and the game itself features TONS of (unlicensed) superstars that you'll instantly recognize. Career mode allows you to go through an entire career of a single superstar while a booking mode is also available, allowing you to take over a whole promotion while trying to rise up against the competition.
This video is completely unscripted, its my first playthough of the game where I learn about the mechanics and modes as I go along. - Sport

Ryan, I know you've said before your not good without a script, but to be completely honest I loved this. No script right off the top of your head was a wonderful look into your personality. Yeah I can tell you were not 100% comfortable with it but I really enjoyed this and will definitely be checking this game out. "I respect you Bio-Man."

@@rm9615 Right?! I would not mind at all if this became the weekly Sunday video series for a few weeks at least. I do, however, understand that he has his hands full with RtW and the subsequent PPV videos, still though, I would fully enjoy that.

Ahmed Johnson? No, this is Aaron Benson. You must be thinking of that guy from the WWE. Very different person, completely and legally distinct and not the same at all. This roster is all original.

I love playing the usual style wrestling games but MDickie games are just something else. You're in for a treat
If you wanna change promotion, just keep challenging someone from the promotion you want to be in, they will decline the offer the first couple of times but if you persist they'll accept. Once you defeat them in the match their booker would probably reach out to you with an offer to work for the promotion.
Pro tip: it's always better to challenge the world champ of the promotion because as soon as you get there they'll start your feud with the champ and eventually you'll get a title shot sooner.
Yeah just don't switch to an inferior promotion or your popularity will go down a lot

Id be 97 popularity and go to the weakest promotion and my popularity would lower like 1 every week until Im like 83

Having played Wrestling Empire, there were so many things I wanted to say during the playthrough. One problem is that the manual honestly isn't that good. It leaves out a fair amount of important information, while other info is delivered in a confusing manner or is buried within the version changes list at the end. (Some of this is apparently intentional, such as deliberately obscuring what determines counters.) Stats are very important, and the game doesn't do a good job of explaining how to manage them. Some moves can be modified with additional button or direction presses, such as being able to continue to kick someone after applying an arm bar. For the commentator match, while I don't recall if you are allowed to skip to the end (via the in-game menu), you can interfere in it directly to either get the results you desired or to just mess up an opponent that you don't like.

I really like Wrestling Empire even though you need to spend a decent amount of time to understand combat mechanics and stuff. It would be great to see a continuation of Ahmed's story, ofc if you will find time for it
I love this game, it's just crazy and everything i want in a retro wrestling game.
If "Streets of Rage" and "Final Fight" taught me anything, it's that eating food out of smashed garbage bins on the street is only BENEFICIAL to your health! Ahmed is only just proving that!
I also loved this unscripted video! It might be a format for you to revisit with some video game playing again; it gives me a bit more of an immersive experience hearing you figure a wrestling game out on the spot!
It looks absoloutly fun.
Booking mode is immersive after a year or two in when you have had History and you see the rise and fall of wrestlers is fun as hell putting on a 5 star classic with a wrestler who's come a long way is so satisfying.

It's definitely interesting to have non-scripted videos from time to time, and first plays like this are a perfect candidate. If there's more wrestling games you've never tried, hope to see more of these!

😂😂 This game is actually kind of hilarious but yet interesting in the fact you can go to a bar with every superstar you can think of being there including Ric flair to just random places that go on behind the scenes of what an actual wrestler deals with each day, all while everybody is wearing their exact attire wherever they go.
This was good. You should have named this video Ahmed Johnson's bizarre adventures.

I still need to get back into this game, only played it once so far on my Switch. I've played so many of MDickie's games since 2010 and always have fun with them.
if you get two different highly skilled characters in the Ring you can easily put on a 5 star classic grappling and technical in this game is beautiful.
I watched another CZcamsr play this for 3 hours straight and I loved every second of it. In his promotion the GM was good ole JR and he gave Dr. Death Steve Williams a 100,000 contract with Favored Nations, as you do when you are JR.

As a long time fan I wanted to say this was a refreshingly different type of video that I thought you did pretty well with. I have some advice if you are willing to take it. You should mix in these real in the moment reactions with a retrospective at the same time. I think that would be a good mix for a video
