Or get Drolled for no reason. With Imperm + Veiler + Mourner it was a loss anyway even if we ignore Promethean pop and Irae send. However the Thrust for Terra is the correct move, so they could have used Talent to take Apo instead checking IP and potentially a handtrap then lose to imperm. The other option was to take Irae since HOPT is for the player and only soft OPT is for the card itself, threaten Apo in battle (Irae doesn't care about SP due to Sequentia) then lose to Veiler/Mourner.
The only way to win would be for Pak to misplay, while Jib new the entire hand + imperm.
About the @6:30 "i can do better" it was very nice to use Yama that way. However, Aerial Eater is a bit confusing. The ideal line to give them Apo would be to CL1 Yama revive Dark Beckoning Beast, then CL2 Rage add back Samsara to hand. This keeps Lacri and Engraver in gy for Aerial Eater, but more importantly they can use the 2nd Normal summon on Samsara getting +1 body.
I assume the extra is super tight and doesn't have Chaos Angel or Anguish/Access/Abom to safely remove Druis, but there is a way to end on 3mat Apo + Phantom + Varudras + SP.
Sharvara + Terror can undo the fiend lock going into Moon, Squirmer + DBB + Moon for 3 mat Apo, Squirmer revive Spirit + Yubel for Varudras, then Terror + DBB in GY for 2nd Phantom with Aerial banishing Lacrimosa and Engraver for SP to banish Druis from the field.
Another useful step for Aerial so it doesn't nuke the Fiendsmith out of your GY (for follow-up) is to go through Necroquip when you revive Engraver. For example here @6:45. While it doesn't seem to add anything (you trade 1 body for 1 body), you place a lvl6+ DARK Fiend in the GY. That way later down the combo line, they can use Terror (or preferably 2nd Phantom) + Necroquip to revive Aerial while in the GY there will be only Engraver + Sequentia meaning the entire Findsmith combo is available once Engraver revives itself by spinning the link2.

You can go even with 1 Engraver only if you are on a tight budget and 2 bodies are still full combo. But 3 Fiendsmith and 3 Tractus are all 1 card full combo making it super consistent and much better than going for Moon the hard way.
For example Dark Beckoning play into Moon, into Requiem into Engraver. Equip Requiem and make the new necroquip. Spin back moon to revive Engraver, make Sequentia using Engraver necroquip, then Sequentia fuse into the new Aerial Eater (either Requiem + Engraver, or 2 of the mini sacred beasts) and mill Samsara.
Maake Yama with Sequentia + Aerial Eater and add Sharvara. Samsara can be revived with Gate since now you don't need to use it for the moon play, and you can even discard Sharvara if you want to keep handtraps. Samsara gets you Spirit that gets you Pain, pop Spirit to get Squirmer and Yubel into rotation.
You can banish Yubel and Necroquip to revive Aerial eater, then when you pop Spirit, it summons Yubel back from the banished so you essentially lose nothing and get a free body. Both fusions are lvl6, Sharvara is lvl6, Engraver is lvl6 (revived by Yama) so you can easily make Caesar now on top of the full combo.
The main issue is the extra deck space.

ye spirit of yubel to summon isn’t once per turn , it’s very common to sharvara pop it so you get Sharvara on field for free and trigger Spirit of yubel + yama to build a bigger end board
