SUMMARY
Surah Abasa is the third surah of the last juz’ (section) of the Quran. It tells the story of a blind, poor, yet pious man who sat next to someone who frowned at him and drew his garment away from him and instead attended to a wealthy man, just because he was poor and blind. Therefore, God criticizes this unfair act. This surah also describes the Quran and reminds man of his creation and God’s blessings bestowed on him. Moreover, it talks about the events of the Day of Judgment and the fate of people on that day.
