What you see is what you get. Knowing Dave personally as a neighbor on a particular beach in Ventura county I can say Dave is the most genuine guy you'll ever meet. Taylor is exactly the same way. He was driving an older Toyota truck, Red! No egos no fancy exotic cars just regular guys with extraordinary talents. RIP Taylor! Your so missed my friend😢. My families 3 German shepherds absolutely loved running on the beach with Taylor. Everyone's intimidated by our shepherds but not Taylor he took right to the dogs and they loved him. I get kinda emotional thinking about it because how often do you meet someone who has such a positive impact on your life? My daughter's, my wife, our dogs we all miss you Taylor. Dave thank you for being an amazing neighbor, we miss you and your family since you sold. Rock on foo fighters cuz Taylor wouldn't have it any other way🙏❤️

Wherever he went, his positive energy would infect, and uplift, the entire crowd, and I honestly can't think of a more irreplaceable and iconic drummer and musician. To hear news of his passing has been incredibly shocking, and deeply heartbreaking, but I hope he is able to rest peacefully, knowing that he touched and inspired the entire world, on a multitude of levels. RIP, Taylor Hawkins. You will be missed, dearly, by so many, but your essence will live on, through your music, immortally. 20 years plus ago when I had sat with my husbands band who I was photographing at V festival. We found ourselves beside the Foo fighters, a band I loved after being a first generation Nirvana fanatic. I recall them all being very lovely, Taylor sparking conversation and me feeling a bit awkward and smiling and chewing away. I met them again a while after with my girlfriend Daisy after seeing them again 17 years ago. Honestly, I am very sorry and saddened by the loss of this man who leaves friends and family, especially his young beautiful children behind. Thank you for your awesome drumming and for your kind demeanour. Sadly missed and always remembered.
It seemed the sound guy was adjusting Taylor's vocal level as the song went on: Dave usually only has his microphone in one specific place, but with Taylor moving all over stage I'm sure it took a bit to dial it in on the fly(for feedback, etc)

They are one of the only ones who can pull off Queen with both the talent and character needed. Such a massive talent gone too soon... Taylor could have easily fronted his own band just as successfully but loved them so much he was happy as the Foo's drummer. This band was a family and it kills me that it will never be the same and it breaks my heart thinking of what they're going through, both this family and his family.

Dave played beautiful people at 6:31 What a legend, big fan of this bloke, saved my life, I met my best mate through foo fighters and nirvana, we bonded, the amount of times this guy saved me from myself, either stepping on a road when there's a car or from when I was in the little bumps in the road of my mental status, really loving your new book Dave, really good to know I'm not alone, got a feather as well you being my idol I got the feather to say, Im a free bird as my mum said I'd never grow wings ages ago, her and I are back to mother and son, thanks to foo fighters, I got out of a deep hole, and never looked back. Wish I could meet Dave and jam. I play bass and guitar, and gonna learn drums.

20 years plus ago when I had sat with my husbands band who I was photographing at V festival. We found ourselves beside the Foo fighters, a band I loved after being a first generation Nirvana fanatic.
