Those who are complaining about the sounds, listen to a real 380 accelerating on CZcams. It literally sounds like a 700, they're Desiros. If I, a semi layman, know that, why don't you guys?
Because they have to find something to moan about. That's all they do. 😅
As a regular commuter on class 380 I can say that it sounds pretty... accurate? I don't think that we need to complain if the pitch is to high/low
I can tell you right now theyre off & I've been commuting on them for over 13 years
My question is why does it have the DC sound of a 700 on AC power

Is Cathcart circle REQUIRED? Like the DB 218 says "For the full experince, we recomend you own th lubeck route" and it used to say "To utilise this content, you must own *route* "
its built for the cathcart so yes u need the route
You can still buy it without Cathcart, but you won't be able to use it in timetable mode, only in scenario planner and free roam

Because this one comes with a large free update for Carthart. And we will get the 91 eventually, it’s a perfect update for the ECML

Don't we have a lot of these modern MUs already? Why not some American steam? Like a K4 Pacific or an S-2 Berkshire for Horseshoe Curve. Or whatever they used to run on the Sand Patch Grade.
Players complained about steam simulation and dtg are unable to fix it and players say don't create it if it can't be made good

Because it's old. They stopped updating trains to have ld support. It took a lot of resources, development time and many things can go wrong

For some reason these sounds sound like the 700 DC Mode more then a 380. And the 700 DC MODE Sounds like a 380.

They're both Siemens Desiro trains they will sound the same.

take a listen to a real life video of a class 380 before complaining "dtg got motor sounds rong1!!111!!11" as somebody whos local trains are 380s the motor sounds are surprisingly very accurate.

I travel on the class 380s almost every week and I can confirm they do sound very similar to the class 700 in AC mode. Tho knowing DTG, they probably did reuse some sounds.
Also I disagree about them being the worst sounding train (even within TSW) as I think the rivet games class 150 is the worst sounding UK train in the game in my opinion.
