They're not as poor as they look, they charge handsome amount of money and earn good enough money.
Yes the owner of garage earns handsome amount of money than labours. It can be observed by visiting any garage in the world.
Most mechanics and garage owners look poor from the outside. And messy.
That's just the days work on their clothes but I do hope there's something solid under those jack stands and not just dirt.

Too bad Western labor laws prevent a child from actually earning a wage and participating in apprenticeship work. Lol nah our kids just get to spend all their childhood dickin off in public school learning nothing useful. They even removed shop and auto classes from most highschools. Damn shame.

I recently replaced the wheel studs on my reefer trailer a few days ago
Took me a few hrs but I took my time to do it and do it correctly and with no accidents since it was my very first time doing such job.
Ive also replaced the brakes and tires on my truck and trailer using my tools.
I am blessed to have such tools

Notice they wash the bearings in de-greasing cleaner with put even gloves? That must eat away the skins in the hands. No disability or OSHA.

Teaching a child to learn at home, is teaching a child that learning is a lifestyle. To send a kid to school is teaching the child that learning is a chore. The father having his kids learn an invaluable unique trade will give them an advantage in the workforce when they become successful adults. 👍🏽
TBH there's probably no free school available at all to this kid. He'll have a practical skill for life.

Here is a trick for packing bearings. Put bearing grease in a clear plastic bag and insert bearing and seal bag and squeeze as usual. The benefits include no wasted grease on hands which must be cleaned off resulting in wasted grease. Also bag and grease are reusable thus saving grease for next time.

That's the way.,my father taught me,working on our family farm .and use a paint brush to clean off parts to keep your hands out of parts cleaner solutions, as much as possible .

Its really heart wrenching for me to see good people and a young boy cleaning grease and grime bare handed and washing it with petrol/ diesel..
I agree get these people gloves and a table. But he is lucky to learn a skill to support himself in a place without great options. Our forefathers have us set up for success and many don't know it.

When the camera is turned off believe they take all kinds short cuts
Actually machine work is more consistent and exact. Hand work is never consistent. How do they know how much to torque the nuts with a torque wrench? There are more mistakes and inaccuracies when done by hand. It's man's brains in creating machines that are more accurate, more precise, more powerful, and more consistent that makes th4 product a better product and more consistent and higher quality product. A CNC machine can cut, mill, drill, grind to within 1/10,000 of an inch job after job and can even compensate for wear on the cutting tool head. Can a human hand do that?
For this kind of very hard work in very poor working conditions with very less equipments /tools/machines for their hard work they got very little pay which they can feed hardly their families just for two times a day......

Went down the wrong path after that, I never had anyone to mentor me I guess, An that's the issue, Not enough kids want to get their hands dirty unless it's selling drugs on street corners...
Couldn't agree more. I often worry about who's going to dirty their hands and do all this work when our generation die out. The only ones to do this work now is older guys who need to retire.
I have a lot of respect for these kids and their parents are teaching them how to provide for themselves in the future

Thought they were gonna loosen the Slack adjuster to back the brakes off and do it that way but nope I watched the video to see the studs replaced but got a bonus and learned how to pull the axle hub wheel bearings oil seal basically they rebuilt that hub even tho I’m sure they used everything over they cleaned thoroughly greased up everything and put it all back together with bare minimum no fancy tools these guys are beast at what they do 👍🏻

I was always out working with my father and when I left school and past my driving test I had enough money in the bank to pay cash for a 18 month old transit van, tax, and insurance it so I could go and earn more money. and drive by all my school mates going to work on the bus or pedal bikes they certainly wasn't laughing at me then. Hoje eu tenho maturidade para entender que o trabalho não mata ninguém . Se a pessoa não começar a trabalhar enquanto é novo , depois de velho ele nunca irá trabalhar e com certeza ele irá para o caminho da marginalidade e virar bandido .

They must work or they don't eat. Very easy economics. Its not about work ethic. Its all about making enough to eat. Thry don't get welfare, food stamps, stimulus checks, or any government subsidy to not work. Many times they learn by being an unpaid apprentice like that young kid. No child labor laws either.

А тут просто производственное обучение , пару гаек на 10 открутил . 60 % пакистанских ребят окончат только начальную школу и чем то на жизнь надо будет зарабатывать . Папа механик , сын будет тоже гайки крутить . Не всем же профессорами быть . А насчёт грязи это да . Хотя экология это тоже наука , а они не образованные , не понимают что творят .
