My friends and I do this against the A.I. when we get bored lmao
I do this all the time with yap yap, 1. Resource rush and get as many crates early game as possible. 2. Rush production with a slight preference for supplies since by mid game power will become far less important. 3. Build a second base and as many mini bases as possible by 2 or 3 minutes in game. 4. Build mostly raid camps and 1 or 2 war councils on the second base. 5. Build a massive army by 6 or 7 minutes in and overwhelm them early game. If the early rush fails, ramp up troop production and focus on tying down 1 or 2 players while your teammates focus on delivering the killing blow. At gold rank this seems to work virtually every time as heavy grunts and grunt goblins combined with methane wagons can stomp just about every unit in the game other than Sergeant Johnson’s Mantis units or Serena’s frost units. In the case of these two I just switch to air or anti vehicle production. Either way I’m fairly confident at this point that Yap Yap is the best leader in the game if you use mass wave assaults since once you get logistics lvl 3 you can just spam endless hordes of heavy grunts mere moments after losing an army and they absolutely stomp air units.
I REALLY wish 343 had added Banished Scarab patrols/encounters in Halo Infinite's open world...

Yellow player gave me a huge ego boost. I exclusively play against AI because I’m not super competitive in HW, I just play for fun. It’s been worrying me that I might be absolutely terrible though having not faced human opponents, but at least I know I’m not dumb enough to buy 5 supply pads and then buy a tech one expo and build my gens on it. That’s the most insane play I’ve ever seen someone try.
