Btw Todbringer is german for "Bringer of Death"

Graf is a german title which is most likely translated to earl in english

If GW would have gone for a historically correct translation - Boris Todbringer would actually be a Kurfürst - 'Kur-' being a word derived from the verb 'küren' - to crown someone, '-Fürst' being a count.
I suppose the went for 'Graf' because this way the didn't have the mutated vowel Ü in Fürst to bother with. ^^
Fun fact: they renamed Todbringer in the older editions to Boris Wüterich ('the raging' or 'the brute') in german translations - which was always a little awkward too. Many german fans at the time preferred the english original names, even though they were outright silly at times too...
Later on GW changed the official policy and stopped translations of names in the german version altogether, including in the novels - which lead to some confusion.

      Shouldn't it be count?
Kurfürsten are basically electorcounts, so i think that count and Graf are pretty much the same thing, but earl specifes an english lord if remember correctly.
So Count for Graf if it's not english and earl for Graf if its english. hope thats correct :)

      It is count, not earl

"Graf" is closer to "Count" than it is to "Earl"
It is definitely a title, though. Anyone named that would draw snickers out of every corner.

For anyone wanting to know how it ends: Boris hunts down Khazrak while Middenheim is under attack by Chaos during the end times. Boris kills Khazrak in a duel, surrounded by the beastman herd, who pile up on Boris after his victory and tear him into tiny little pieces.

How badass, if in the end times. Instead of Karazak minions killing Boris, after he beat Karazak's ass in 1v1, they made him their ruler. Then Boris comes out of the forest with a giant host of beast men, charging into Archaeon's host. It would be such a warhammer version of lord of the rings, when gandolf shows up with a bunch knights. In the end they still would have got wiped, but it would have been another tease, in a mountain of other teases that occurred during the end times.

It's kinda interesting that he has german name and title but has a different name in german. In english it is Boris Todbringer and in german it is Boris Wüterich.
