Thank you!!! I just gave up, mounted my Atoto head unit and called it quits. Then I found this video. Worked like a charm!
Kick. ASS! I used your steps (tweaked for an SWI-RC) in my Explorer and it works perfectly. Thanks very much for posting this.
I have an ford explorer 2009 , could you please explain how you installed it and what you needed extra accessories eg. Antenna adapter.... , i want to get the atota andriod unit too. Thanks so much :)
Dang, I wrestled with this for days thinking I was doing it wrong. The instructions are still wrong on the newest PAC SWI-CP adapter (also sold as SC4RAD). Thanks much, mate.
I was trying this for hours and found this video! You're awesome worked like a charm!! Got a new subscriber in me!!
Work like a charm! You're my Today's MVP!
YOU are the jam!! Thanks brother, you saved me lots of time!
My hero. Thanks bro Finally got it working :)
Weird that i didnt need no extra swc box in order to retain my swc over the a6 pro...i just tapped the orange/black wire off the a6 to my factory harness swc signal wire...bada bing bada boom....programmed keys everything works
Lifesaver
Great video .. been racking brain installing new radio in on charger ... Car previously had a single din installed with the PAC system but sound was only coming out of front two speakers... Not sure it's hooked up rite ... I got the A6Y Pro 10" .. i have one of these PAC C2R-CHY4 .. it should work but intimated by the wiring .. and suggestion would be greatly appreciated .. Great video
Blue and yellow from what? The factory harness or the radio?
My atoto a6 seems a little too big in my 2015 caravan.
I'm thinking of using a dremel to cut the front trim.
Am I doing something wrong?
Anyone know what number the selector on the pac is set to fire an a6? Number 7?
Hi Ive got the same module and radio as you for a 2012 dodge caravan, I would like to know where you plug the interface connector Purple/White to Vehicle speed output VSS? The only atoto wire left is the steering wheel key#+
I'm installing mine as well and came across this. Because there's no other wires left, I was just going to leave it.
I have a 2013 grand caravan with atoto pro and same interface. I Tried what you did and it doesnt work. When i press my swc i see the interface lights on and off but radio doesn't do anything. Is there anything im missing?
In the steering wheel control into the atoto, click reset and you should be able to set your control
I'm getting ready to attempt a pumpkin android head unit install on my 06 Dodge Charger, did u have to get the PAC C2r-Chy4 as well?
I used the RP4-CH11, which was all I needed. I'm looking at the C2R now on PAC's website and I'm honestly not sure what the difference is other than the C2R is ~$80 cheaper right now. They seem to have similar features just worded differently, and an identical compatibility list. They're both listed as compatible with an 06-10 Charger, so if you can save $80 I'd say the C2R is worth a shot. Good luck!
@@ababyduck717 the difference is that the CHY4 doesn't include SWC, you have to buy a separate module. I went the CHY4 route, then added the SWI-RC-1, which ended up being cheaper as I recall than going with the complete unit. However, I will also echo other people's comments saying that your video explained a lot and will save me a ton of time!
I have purchased an Atoto S8, and it comes with a 3.5mm included in the wiring which says it is a combined for all of the necessary wires for SWC (not to be confused with, as you pointed out, the 3.5mm input provided on the Atoto A6....which has tripped up several people I see!). Crossing my fingers it works, otherwise I'll solder the wires as you have suggested!
Thanks again!
@@Mike-vs4uu Thanks for clarifying the difference between those two products, hopefully that helps for anyone with the same question. Glad you found the video helpful!
@@Mike-vs4uu have you figured this out yet? I'm doing the same thing and running into problems.
@@jmyers2304 I ended up getting it to work on my 06 Dodge, however, I ran into issues with the middle button on each side creating issues. Rather than sorting it out, I purchased the Atoto SWC that wraps around the steering wheel (or you could install it in a dash or console using a magnet).
