I really liked the Charge 5 sound signature, the highs make it sound so clean mostly in low and medium volumes. Nice review bro, complete and with good samples. You should also try the Soundcore speakers, specially the Motion Plus and Motion Boom, they cost a half of the Charge 5, and sound almost as good, and in some cases even better (with custom eq, the default eq is not so good in either of the two)

Hey Picky, I really think you should try the Soundcore motion boom. I know you like your bass and it really delivers in that department while being much cheaper than many alternatives. To put it in perspective you can buy two to pair in TWS for roughly the price of one jbl charge 5 where I live. It doesn't sound the best out of the box but also has an adjustable eq via the Soundcore app (that you must utilize to bring it to its full potential). Defo auto powers off, had mine a few months, upgraded from Flip 4, and love it. It takes a bit longer than the Flip 4 to power off, but it defo does it. I usually watch your vids for the earbuds, was good to see this review. Great review Pal 👍
I have 6 party boost speakers and party boost is fantastic. 60 feet away in the backyard makes pool parties fantastic. You can get an immersive experience with lower volume levels
This is what CZcams reviews should be like. Most reviewers are so damn diplomatic and say it depends on this, that etc . Just saying which one was better in sound quality was a big deal really.
The thing about these JBL speakers is that all the newer ones are all mono except the Xtreme. For rap and hip hop it’s fine I guess but for any rock and metal the guitars get buried in the mix especially the rhythm guitars cause they are recorded one left stereo channel and one right stereo channel. I think the Tribit (which is stereo) is better balanced and sounds better especially with a little eq. Also the Tribit sounds better in the middle of the room or further away from the wall as it’s a 360 unit and the 2 speakers are on either side making it different from the JBL which is directional and that’s going to make the JBL sound “clearer”. BTW I own a Stormbox Pro, Charge 5 and Xtreme 2
Did you break in the speakers at all? Makes a huge difference! At least 30 hrs I've heard. I've got the tribit stormbox Pro, and the sound is premium after breaking in speakers for over 30 hrs! Try it. You will not be disappointed. When I first opened my Tribits and tried them, I was definitely questioning my purchase. But after breaking them in, I was amazed at the shift in tone and clarity! Just sayin'

The bass on the xtreme 2 is a little better, but much brighter on the charge 5, it’s strange because the xtreme 2 has 2 tweeter’s.
