It was a while ago that I put a picture of some random hot guy I found on the Internet on my dating profile. I set that as my profile picture to see what happened. Surprisingly that got me more clicks from men and women. I eventually changed my profile picture to a more realistic one of myself and the click rate dropped significantly. This experience taught me that people often prioritize physical appearance over other qualities. It was a valuable lesson.
Physical appearance takes a lot less effort to judge.

Long-term solution:
Teach children and young people to not base their personal standards and perceptions of reality on fiction or celebrities. This would at least significantly mitigate the development of related mental illnesses and instability.
Nothing wrong with basing your ideals off of fiction (everyone does that to an extent)

@@TheSkyGuy77well it's not right to balance your reality of fiction. Because a lot of the cartoon features are for cartoons. You're not going to look like Mrs incredible, or that one lady from that one Pixar short.
That's nice and all, but we as a species rely on the show not tell more. If you just show more regular people being beautiful, that would really ease up. It's like the people who claim to be very open about how much you talk about mental health, but as soon as you talk about your mental health you are shut down or iced out. Yes they say that it's good, but their actions speak otherwise. So you can say that you are personally beautiful all you want, if all of the media and beauty standards is one certain standard, that's going to pay it in comparison to what you see and experience every single day from basically infancy.

Sleep 9 hrs a night damn wish I could but theres bill's, an intense night time heatwave ever summer night keeping me up not to mention struggling for food and drink because healthier options cost more!
I only wear makeup during important events and I usually go to a salon for that. Never learned to apply makeup beyond lipstick. I already spend a lot of money on my hobbies and makeup is just a need less expense on something I migjt use once every 10 years or so.
I know the basics, I sometimes put on make up just because I'm bored.

On the topic of Superheroes having to be muscular, history can go all the way back when the executives in Hollywood wanted Christoper Reeve to wear a skin suit since they believed he was too skinny for the role of Superman but the transformation Christoper took to get there to gain muscle is anything but phenomenal and therefore he cemented himself as the best Superman of all time and when we lost Christopher since my family was currently in Los Angeles at the time the amount of Superman memorabilia and flowers placed beside his Hollywood star was such a nice thing to have witnessed and I will always be biased when it comes to Chris. Although Henry Cavill is the best Modern day Superman and nothing will ever change my opinions on Henry. I respect Christoper and Henry equally and sorry Brandon Routh but you will never be a Superman that I can never support not idolise.
