Very nice to know about this CORNER CAFE of Kanchipuram. Pure vegetarin items are always better for good health than meat items. Cheaper too. In the 1960s I used to travel in South Arcot and Pondicherry areas and have seen and visited many such Iyer cafes. Simple and economic eating places. The health authorities have already advised hotels not to pack sambar and other hot liquid items in polythene bags. They can cause cancer of the intestines. This Corner Cafe is shown to pour sambar inside a polythene bag. Advise them against this habit. Give in customer’s own vessel or in aluminum foil bags.

You have commented about lemon rice being little dry, please be informed that it is primarily made for parcel. More oil can produce smell if it is packed. Similarly curd is also made primarily for parcel, if it is semi solid then it will not taste better. This is Fyki. Thanks
