Lawwwwwwd that trumpet section lit those runs up on 1:27 an 2:27. This is a phenomenal arrangement and I hear something new every time I listen to it. I myself am a music major and I am truly expired to hear an arrangement such as this.

The members in Southern is doing a great job in playing the arrangements and their band director does an outstanding job in writing them. Shiiid they did fall off, but IMO this is probably an historic SU band. Easily the best within the last 5 years. All the complaints you can have about SU, I feel you cannot have any with the band this year.
A Jack 11 was good and how do you leave out 06? 14 they were also good. That band had a lot of upperclassmen. Sure they ain't the old Jukes but the book continues to get better. They still holding it down.
Listening in 2021! Support our HBCU's. HBCU's educate more Black professionals than the PWI's. These Universities were born during Reconstruction. Don't give up on that legacy.

Why do they even have wood winds? No one has ever heard them? When I think of this band all I can think of is Mellophone, Trumpet, and Trombone. I think they switch some of the trombone parts for baritone parts. Some people might say it will be boring, but I know it will make them sound alot better.
Oh, Ive noticed...lol. Ain't heard a slick joke since that half year ('11). By '12, they were dogs on them horns. We used to tell folks that beg'd SU to deviate from those held-together white horns, that that ain't what they want. Now, they don't/can't say shit...lol
