Thank You! Any recomandations when it comes to using the steering wheel as decoration? Especially considering the airbag

Other than hanging it on the wall like a deer trophy? No.

What state are you in Ross? I’m in the Orlando Florida area. I want my current steering wheel (wooden) removed from my ‘99 9-5SE that I’m sadly ready to junk, and eventually installed in my ‘98 900SE (If that’ll work). I don’t want to give that steering wheel away, it’s way too nice. I’m not very mechanically inclined, nor do I have the needed tools to do this removal myself. I thank you for this video.

Ooo yeah, those wooden ones are fairly valuable to those that like them! The splines are the same for 9-5 to OG9-3 so I'm tempted to say it'll work for '98 as it's only 1 year off from a '99 (which I know firsthand is compatible). Sorry to hear about the 9-5s journey to Valhalla. Are you saying you're looking for a hand in the Orlando area? Oddly I was just in FL last week lol

Darn! I would’ve paid you (of course) to take it off. I called the local Saab experts, but they don’t do mobile service and I can’t drive it to them as there’s no tag (license plate) on the car, and if I put an old tag on it, that’ll be the day the cops will be right behind me with my lousy luck. Thanks anyway!

Does the clock spring pull right out? I have to change one.

Yep. Look at 4:40. Remove the two torx bits for the plastic cowling around the wheel and once off the one(?) bolt for the clock spring will be visible. I tell you this off the top of my head, but it should be fairly simple to replace.
