@@alexanderx33 Yes and no. Before they did Light's story, in the Pilot Chapter otherwise known as The Karo Tagami Story, Ryuk had a death eraser that simply could bring people back to life unless their bodies were cremated.
It was removed for the story of Light because, to be perfectly honest, it fit the style of the Pilot, but it didn't fit the style that came with Light.
I love how there is a full sentence even when they get cut off so you can see what they were going to say.
And that way, you don't know they're gonna be interrupted.

Wasn’t there something like a book or movie like that, two guys and one was called Lennie Small who was somewhat imbecilic and ended up having that talk with his friend named George Milton who had him face away before he shot him in the back of the head? I feel like this really really is a reference to that book here, like this has to be intentional.

@@KingTylex yes it was Of Mice and Men, this was definitely an intentional reference bc they even added a screenshot of the movie and sorta spoiled the book (George shoots Lennie to protect him from people who are after him)
