Simple yet effective. Perfect for most who want a quick and easy electrical upgrade 👌
Younger, Bolder, Stronger!
Indeed!
i did a review on the redodo 100 ah and the bms certainly did rescrict it but in my set up it worked perfectly fine. but if i was competeing i would defenitly upgrade.
You can also run lithium down to 20% vs 50% for AGM and lead acid!
I miss my old kinetik 2400s. They weren't heavy at all🙄
Boat anchors
Would a beefed up alt be too much for these type of battery?
Thinking about adding a couple of these when i upgrade my amp.
battery hookup has few lots of anr26650 , anyone looking for high power lifepo4 battery should get them before they run out!
20c continuous capable cells are rare to come by.
I'm sorry I don't trust them vape batteries. They are so damn small
@@PeterFeltersnatch852 they are bigger than 18650..
Anr26650 is really safe and quite capable. My shit box with a 1.5l petrol engine stats on just 4s1p pack..so just 4 batteries at 2.3amp hr can start a 1.5l gasoline engine! . & Without going on fire..
@@KuntalGhosh how big are they from top to bottom. They look small in pics
@@PeterFeltersnatch852 "26650" means 26mm in diameter and 65 in length , just like 18650 means 18mm in diameter and 65mm in length. if you see 32650 then you know 32mm in diameter and 65mm in length if you see 32140 then you know 32mm in diameter and 140mm in length.
Now that Redodo has a mini 100ah unit, would you be willing to compare one of those to this?
Very interesting video i seen a guy post a Facebook post stating he clamped pulling 6k watss with a salt 4 and salt 200.4 with a similar battery and a stock 120amp alt. I knew that didn't sound right your video proves thats not feasible. One thing you forgot to mention that the BMS thats built in is limiting your tests to only pull roughly a 100amps from the lithium.
This one actually limits the current to 300amps, but yeah you’re right 6k seems out of line unless you had 3-4 of these
@@HifiVega👋🧐❌ Wondering ::
This lithium or 1bank of yinlong
☝️🧐Please help , I can’t get an larger Alt. So Basically stuck with Batteries
System amp 5k 80plus efficiency‼️ help me understand how many amp hour I would need , to do 1-2 song demos 🤔
@@eurekaakerue4649 if you charge high enough it’s not question Yin Long and you’d want at least a 2p set up
@@HifiVega 👋🧐❌Thank you Much ___

‼️Thank You 😎‼️
NICE 🙂 for the general small system this is a decent option....
This was a cool test. Would have been nice to see the same test done on an AGM or standard flooded battery for the direct comparison. Sounds like this type of battery could be a good option for me but I would need a few more bits of information. I reasearch things when I need to but dont need to at the moment.
I didn’t have an agm handy or I would have, but I suspect it would be similar with a slight edge going towards the lithium
just buy a 1$ 12v thermostat and wire in a 2$ 15w silicon heating pad to turn on under 33F. problem solved in cold climates
Any advice for hot climates? We hit 110F regularly in the summer
@@DGGuaglianone ya i had some issues on my battery setup during a heat wave this summer that was around 110F for a couple weeks.
not sure, i would think if youre not using the mppt load side of the charge controller, you could set up a 12v pc type fan to run when its getting sun power to atleast move some air around. i took the epoxy isolation sheets for my 280ah battery cells and cover them in about 3 layers of copper foil tape to act as a heat sink. i kind of think pyrolytic graphite might work better since youre trying to move the heat in one plane away from the centers between the battery cells.
With the Lifepo4, is it OK to leave connected and charging from factory alternator?
Couple more thots. The lithium batteries have a much longer life than an AGM battery, and can hold a stiffer voltage in most cases. You can use almost all of it's charge, and the weight thing is a big bonus. (Tho hauling an almost 400lb lithium pack up my 40+ stairs was a very fun afternoon.. But it runs the house for a few days when the power goes out. Handy up here!)
As of now theres many good options in that price range especailly if someone is willing to learn and diy. It is convenient but 250$ is decent bit of money.
Many more options nowadays
This battery seems awesome. I'm still a bit iffy about adding a lithium battery as a second battery to my car audio set up. At the moment i have the stock 130a alternator, big 3 upgrade, an AGM under the hood (with diode upgrade), running a taramps smart 3 bass, and a sundown sfb 200.4d. I've heard some of the horror stories about lithium batteries. How would this one compare to an xs power 3400 AGM (simmilar price range)?
These type of cells are very safe the more dangerous cells/packs come into play when folks are doing diy builds. Performance wise this battery would have a slight edge over the XS Power and be a third of the weight
@@HifiVegaIf I add this as a second battery would I need an isolater, or just adding an inline fuse would be fine?
Do these batteries hold storage? Can I play with my car off?
They are great for long term bulk energy storage. But if you run them down low , your alternator will likely overheat trying to recharge them. Lithiums draw in a lot more current and have been known to fry alternators due to high charging current demand, particularly at idle when batteries are low.
I have a 300amp alt, two red tops under the hood and a UltrCap in the back. I’m thinking using one of these in combo with the UltraCap would work great. What u think ?
I have 2 Eco Worthy 100 ah 12.8 volt batteries I'm not using right now. In my truck I have a Mechman 400 amp with 2 lead acid batteries under the hood running 2 JP 23v2 on 2 Resilient Sounds Platinum 18's. My voltage still drops down to the 11's if I run it full tilt. I'm now considering taking out one lead acid battery and using the 2 LiPo's instead. what do you think of this idea?
Yes get rid of both them lead acid immediately.... Jp40 is 400 something right now from 999! You got a 400 mech man your golden
How much charge current can it take?
I was giving it around 80 amps
Hey Mr Vega I have a alpha 4.0 agm do you have any info on this battery im using it for my second back battery im running stock alt big 3 and a cab22 for the amp thanks brother
Never heard of that brand. If you look around on the labels you might be able to find the manufacturer probably Johnson Controls, Enersys, Stryten Energy
If it is the same Alpha I am thinking of , they make a huge variety of not only batteries , but , UPS systems and other things .
They are pretty common in the telecom world .
I don't know about the particulars of your battery , however , you may try searching their website and see if you can find some specs for it .
Why is that battery so big? What's inside ?
I’m sure it’s got prismatic cells in there. They make a smaller version as well
Typically what I have seen is dead air or Styrofoam. Generally build in larger cases to allow replacement in conditions that have lead batteries. The mini's are the size they should be. IMO
Looks like a battery made by Google (The colors).
Haha fo sho

Golf cart lithium is much better, higher AH! Not $300 though. Usually the smallest available too.
Lithium is too dangerous, they explode. I have a large power need system and run the whole thing on two 14.4 v AGM gel batteries and a 600 watt solar panel on my car. I have, combined over 10k watts in amps pulling on the system just fine, nothing gets hot
@@RonBonomo they are getting better! I do agree you’re taking a chance, and they still don’t like cold, but good lithium is much better. Not really talking about cheap Amazon Chinese( assembled/tested) stuff. All parts are Chinese, but there is a difference in quality. Haven’t tried the solar charger on golf carts I build yet? That may make some difference. It could be done on yours, but I do realize it would be considerably more expensive. For a single battery and about 1/2 to 1/3 that power it might be worth it.
@@RonBonomo You really shouldn't go around spreading FUD about lithium batteries when you don't really understand them. These type of blanket statements help no one.
Not fud my friend, get the facts, Tesla even has the issues with them and it's blowing up their cars, so get the facts
@@RonBonomoWhat! Lol. SMH.
