  • Since the Victoria Line opened in 1968 the 1967 tube stock has tirelessly moved millions of people between Walthamstow Central and Brixton.
I was out and about on the line along with Gavelex and UKTrainMan and took a few videos of the final day of 1967 stock operation.
Arriving at Brixton a bit later than its booked 19:01 departure time due to disruption at Vauxhall, double ended units 3059 and 3079 (fitted with a headboard at each end) formed the last ever 1967 stock operated Victoria Line service, calling at Stockwell, Vauxhall, Pimlico, Victoria, Green Park, Oxford Circus, Warren Street, Euston, Kings Cross St. Pancras, Highbury and Islington, Finsbury Park and finally Seven Sisters where it detrained and returned to Northumberland Park Depot for the final time, but not without a whistle and a lot of cheering to send it off.
The headboards used were the same ones fitted to 3033 and 3071 on the First and Last railtour which visited Northumberland Park as well as Acton Town, Uxbridge and Ealing Broadway.
