i know it's just meant for fun, but i love when he says "it's your chronically caucasian vocal analyst". i've always appreciated how self-aware he was of himself. always gives me a good chuckle.
also, UTS is my all time faaav. it's crazy how not a lot of ppl know her "dreamy" songs.
This is one of my favourite performances of Mariah😍 It's just absolutley brilliant. Her runs are out of this world

It’s really cool how attentive you are of her mastery with the microphone. Because she’s talked about how since she was a kid she would spend hours everyday fascinating and experimenting with the microphone in the 80s. She said they no longer have the very cheap microphones she had in the 80s where they picked up the highest frequencies in her airy tones.
This is such a good song from her and they really brought it to life in a live arrangement. This song is a prime example of how good Mariah is at adding BG vocals when creating a song. The BG vocals and harmonies bring a dreamy feeling when listening to the song that really fits the lyrics and helps paint a beautiful picture. It's difficult for me to put this into words but it's some of her best work done in the studio.
This is definitely my favorite version of this song, The live bass, the other live instrumentation, her vocals 🥰everything is just so much better than the album version... And I didnt think that was possible until I saw this..
