According to U.gg Stats for Masters+ 12.15 Patch - Sylas has a 17.8% Pickrate (13,190 Matches played). The next highest? Ahri with 10.7% Pickrate (7,897 Matches played). Kinda insane how much more he is played even compared to the SECOND PICK RATE Ahri.
How do you think he could be nerfed, without destroying him in low elo?
I feel like some skill is required to make is kit work best: both winrate and pick rate drop the lower you go

AFAIK doran's shield start became popular because of the nerf to potions and buff to scorch. It's harder to get sustain in lane and there's more poke

Doran's Shield has always been amazing but it's doubly as good now since sustain in general got nerfed. I used to spam it along with Second Wind all the time and it made it easy to sustain even in bad match ups.

1:10 I think it is related to the potion nerf. You heal a lot less with the Ring + 2 pots start. As a result, Shield's health regen become so much more significant, and becomes a decent tradeoff for champions that prefer health over mana in the early game.
This was insane to see your skill with. The midgame felt so rough but you pushing the envelope with the fights before and after baron were so big! Gg!

Apart from sustaining from poke I'm pretty sure dorans shield also helps him farm with autos which is another huge weakness as sylas

Doran’s shied/second wind is cuz buying corrupting pot got less useful after the nerf to potions, and since poke mages are pretty good atm it just helps Sylas to get to that level 3 spike and start slamming short trades that you will then win cuz you have so much built in sustain with the items.

Doran’s shield is just stupid good. Good for passive play, good for aggressive styles. Only thing it lacks is best gank set ups if you don’t manage your mana well and if you don’t have the extra dmg.

so was just watching your recent vod when u were playing sylas and talking about t1. Do note incomes for streamers also has to be taxed and I'm not sure how much money is taken by twitch so the income is usually less than it would be.
Yeah I meant Gross Profit, he most likely is scheduled as S-Class Corp to save on Taxes (So am I), I know my numbers are definitely close though
Why go lucidity boots first when your biggest problem is mana in the early game? You won't get a roam of because ahri can keep shoving and you wont be able to do multiple rotations because of mana problems? I'm low elo so I'm sure you actually have a very good reason for going it, I'm just curious :)

Everfrost is superior in almost all accounts. He combos really well with his e in to ever frost which essentially allows him to fully unload his entire "combo" (e knock up auto q auto w auto) and by then you've most likely gotten a kill or pushed them out of lane.
Is D.Shield better than D.Ring on Sylas ?

I love when Sylas picks up an ultimate with mobility. This champion is already 50% dashes, it's ridiculous lmao
Not only that, Ahri's ult is super strong on Sylas because on top of the dashes, each dash procs his passive too, stealing the ult also procs his passive. So you have a minimum of 4 passive procs only by taking and using Ahri's 3 dashes (I know you can have more than 3)

Dude, you should start playing aggressive once you hit level 3. You just let Ahri abuse you, even tho Sylas is way stronger earlier.

The number of pansy-asses in League that always want to ff the second things turn a hair south always baffles me. Anyone who's played this game for more than a week knows how quick the tides of a match can turn. Sorry, rant, that said, very nice game Pekin :)

honestly ik sylas is strong in higher elos, but in low elo, I almost never lose to that champ no matter what I am playing (except ekko kinda, fck that mu sucks)
also FS was popular on sylas for a while recently, don't know if people still use it after the nerf
Personally I wipe the floor with him on Cassio.
As a toplane/jungle player if I see him top I like to lock my main toplaner (Darius) in. Sylas is one of the easiest matchups for Darius. On midlane I love to pick Anivia/Cassiopeia/Ryze against him, even tho Ryze is incredibly bad at the moment he still does the job against the ultimate stealer.
Am I the only one that is annoyed by him not lwl up his abilities when fighting. I mean its not a big deal but the it could make a difference in a fight. Anyway great video gj.
