That is called a Torx bit (those three servo removal screws). They are identified by a number - basically, the larger the number, the bigger the bit. OK , I just did this on my friends Model S; the Torx is bit number T-25. And the open end wrench to turn the star thing is, first, a 13mm to get it moving, then, a 14mm to turn it the rest of the way. Thanks for your video, it helped a lot!

How did you know which is the one locked up? Did you check all four wheels? Thanks for the help.
Get someone to operate the parking brake on & off for you and listen to the sound from each of the rear wheel parking brakes, you can easily identify the one that is struggling by the sound it makes.

A little late, but he said "lube". It's short for lubricant.
Very likely that there is a lot of corrosion inside the planetary gearbox. Though you have freed it up for now, it will likely stop working again. You can separate the motor from the gearbox and clean up the gears and the face of the motor as that has probably corroded too.

I tried to fix my Model X parking brake, but I can't loosen ist. I uninstalled the actuator motor, as shown in the video, and the motor turns. But I am not able to turn the gear on the wheel side. I applied as much force to the gear, using a screw wrench, as I manually could, until the wrench slips off. The little gear isn't moving at all, and I can not apply more force. Any idea, how to loosen the parking break?
You tried turning both ways?
@@EdmondTong I pushed the wrench to left side, me sitting in front of the wheel. Actually I tried both way, but full force only to the left. I will try to the right. But in your video I understand, push left should loosen the break.

@@staly23o no, did not go to any side. Finally, I called the repair shop (not Tesla), and they connected a small 12V battery to the mounted actuator motor. After multiple tries, the break finally came loose. They brought the car to the repair shop and fixed the cable connector.
