- A number of students in Bangladesh have vowed to continue protesting, despite the Supreme Court's decision to change the controversial government job quotas which sparked last week's protests across the country.
The court ruled just 5% of the roles can be reserved for veterans' relatives. However, protestors are calling for the court order to be implemented before more protests are called off.
A third of public sector jobs had been reserved for the relatives of veterans from the country’s war for independence from Pakistan in 1971.
Authorities in Bangladesh have imposed a nationwide curfew and communication blackout has been imposed.

finally they restored limited Internet connection in some areas but the Internet connection is very slow. CZcams Instagram Facebook messanger are still banned so I'm using vpn but most of the country still don't have Internet connection. And we've already lost hundreds of millions of dollars due to Internet shutdown finally the government was forced to restore limited Internet connections because of pressure from rich businessmen

Some are guessing that other political parties joined by the name of students and destroyed govt properties, but there's still no proof! Thn again her her political team named " chhatraleague" started attacking students & more then 500 are killed by police & chhatra League... Awareness was spreading rapidly through internet so she had cut down internet in Bangladesh for 7 days in a row...u know ntg...so don't say anything without knowledge
My friend lives in there…she couldn’t text or call for a few days…I didn’t know abt this till she told me…thank god she’s safe. They don’t deserve this…we need to live in peace.
Sheikh Hasina is a tyrant who has been in power for 5th term by winning sham elections where voters turn out to have been very low. She used excessive force to clamp down on the opposition and its supporters. Many opposition leaders and their supporters have been killed and many more have been jailed in appalling conditions before and during the elections in Bangladesh. She has been ruling the country with an iron fist where she is using the security agencies to crush her opponents and human rights have been abused and even her opponents have been put to the gallows. Her rule has been and still is a complete terror for the people of Bangladesh. She has lost the support of ordinary Bangladeshi and she must step down before further bloodshed.

@@sebahittinbilsel3133when we got freedom in 1971, the government gave job opportunities to those who fought for the country to help them as they were under developed and faced huge losses during the war....but it's been more than 50 years...now their grandchildren are getting the benefits even though they're not under developed at this moment and they're getting financial help from the government every month plus housing facilities....The government is continuing these job discrimination quotas because now it mostly helps those who are closely associated with her.. what's funny is that 30% jobs are reserved for relatives of freedom fighters who make up only 2%of the total population! This minority group backs her up during political turmoil.
And the protest is not about the quota system anymore because...the students were protesting peacefully and she ordered her terrorist group 'Student Legue' to kill, beat up the normal students who were protesting peacefully. And she also ordered police to shoot up the protesting students. So, more than 3000 students died because police started firing out of nowhere and 'Student Legue' also attacked them. The government turned off the internet connection for 6 days...so that they can hide the bodies. And they put us under the shoot at sight curfew for an unannounced time.
Not only just Students but also innocent childrens and poor Peoples also killed in this genocide🇧🇩🏴 We want Justice for our people🏳️
