  • The college football game between Miami and Florida State had a thrilling ending as Florida State rallied to beat their bitter rival for the first time in five years. With 11 minutes left, Miami scored a crazy 35 yard touchdown to take a 28-20 lead over Florida State. Florida State responded with a long drive and kicked a field goal to make it 28-23 with just under five minutes remaining. Then, the Seminoles defense made a stand and got the ball back with two minutes left. FSU QB Jordan Travis completed a deep ball on the first play of the possession to put them in the red zone. Then, on fourth and 14, Travis completed another big pass to put FSU right at the Miami goal line with just one minute left. Florida State eventually scored a touchdown with 26 seconds left to take a 31-28 lead. Florida State stopped Miami and held on for a thrilling 31-28 victory.

It’s a combination of first down clock stoppage, ball setting, referee positioning, and not putting the refs in a position of reviewing plays to determine EXACTLY when a ball hits the turf to stop the clock. They tried to take the refs out of the end of game situation by just giving the teams a hard and fast rule and making the players dictate the outcome. Problem is TVD didn’t know the rule - or at least it didn’t sound like he did from his post game presser.

Now we have the top recruit for next year Travis hunter can play cb or wr and AJ Duffy top 15 qb in the country and a lot of other players and now we have a chance to play for a bowl game that is crazy and the fact that this team never quit on norvell or just stopped playing is a big part too they aren’t the most talented but they are going 100% every single second don’t worry really soon we will be back up where we we were a couple years ago

The next season the 3 second rule was put in. The clock starts when the official over the ball whistles it in play, steps away, the snap and the spike. 3 seconds is about right.
