    For those who don't have buckles:
    I was able to make it with just knots. All you need to do it make a loop where the pocket half of the buckle is supposed to be. Follow the same directions. Then when it comes to inserting the prong half of the buckle, just tie the two cords (at the location where you would have put the prong buckle) around the loop previously made. You will form a loop. It might be a little bit awkward to do the braiding but it's still very easy. This video was extremely helpful. Thank you!

    Good DIY video Emily Suh. Your gestures were very explicit. I am 'braid making' challenged. Niceeeeeeeeeeeee!!

    Great video. I actually prefer when people verbalize the instructions as opposed to using typed, but the visuals were actually basically all that was needed. Thank you so much. 🙂

    Thanks for the DIY instructions!!!! I've always wanted one, but wanted the satisfaction of making one to my liking. Anyways, would it be possible to make one without using buckles?

      Thanks! I really appreciate it!
      I would rather make one myself too so I can choose the colors.
      I'm pretty sure you can make them without buckles, not entirely sure how to though..

      PandaBoi0609 I just made one without a buckle. you just have to make a "loop" in place of each buckle...so when you start making the knot, the second loop (in place of buckle piece 2) will be around loop one (in place of buckle piece 1). It's tricky to hold in place while starting the weaving part.

    • @emilysuh2538

      About 10 feet, give or take a few depending on how long you want the handle to be.

  • @zoelorica3152

    how do u use two colors for this?

    • @emilysuh2538
      @emilysuh2538  Před 7 lety +1

      You would have to mesh them together. So burn off the tip of the ends of the two colors and put them together and hold it so it melts together. If that makes sense :)
