  • The first horse that breeder Amy Moore ever purchased was Queen Caroline, who went on to produce champion Forte as her first foal. Now, the Grade I-producing mare is set to sell at the upcoming Fasig-Tipton November Sale.

Queen Caroline, I wish you the best of luck. By that I mean may you go to people of integrity who realize that even though you are young and fertile, birthing foals year after year is strenuous . I hope they care about you for more than the money. Maybe you would like to feel well enough after you have birthed your last foal to hang out with retired mares.
Lucky Zenyatta is retired now-livin the life. She wasn’t just a commodity.

I agree with another reviewer about her going to someone with integrity, etc. One foal a year is enough. And then only while younger. Too much greed out there. And not enough about what's best for the horse.

'the mare's become too valuable to keep on a small farm in Virginia', ha ha. Generally, breeders don't sell their best mares.
