Yes... You can use Stainless Steel Bowl but coat the bowl with oil before pouring eggs in the bowl.

Hitesh... Except Poaching Eggs, it would be helpful for rest of the things you wanna do. It looks better than 3036 as it has a timer in it as well.

What is the life expectancy of this product ,? Looking like very old and established brand that's why I am asking 👍🙏 spare parts also available?
I am regularly using it from one year and haven't faced any issue till now. The expected life of electric appliances can never be predicted as one electric bulb works for years while other may get fused when we are fixing it in the bulb holder.
Glen is a reputed brand so after sale service or spare parts must be available at company service centres..
You may give it a try for sure.

Does the egg boiler turn off after sometime if we do not switch it off?
It turns off after some time when water we put in the tray evaporates as a temperature sensor is fitted in it.
But it would turn on automatically when the hot plate would turn a bit cool, So we must switch it off after getting the eggs boiled or Pouched...
@@cookwithdj3334 Actually thay is not the case. I have done a bit of experiment and understood it turns on when the water evaporated condenses and drops back inside. If the water accumulates near the sensor then it turns on for a while till the water evaporates again. The sensor is not temperature controlled. It cuts off when all water evaporates. I am an instrumentation engineer so had this curiosity.
@@poojamitra88 ... After your reply I precisely checked it as per your words. I actually belong to Refrigeration n Air Conditioning, So understand a bit about the Cooling and Heating Appliances.
In this Model of Egg Boiler, neither there is Temperature Control Device nor A Timer which can turn it off permanently after the set time.
As per your words, the Egg Boiler works when water is there or when Evaporated water vapours accumulate on its heating plate which is not correct.
I pat dried my Egg boiler and turned it ON.. After some time "Overheat Protection(Temperature Sensor) Turned it Off.
After Approximately 10 minutes when the turned a bit cool, Heating Plate came in cycle again n started working.
This time it took only a few seconds to heat the plate n turned off again. It started working n Turned ON again after next ten minutes.
So please check at your end once again.
@@cookwithdj3334 What I understand is the water evaporation is what the sensor detects. Maybe it is a level indicator. I actually own a borosil egg boiler and it is relatively new in market. Seems same like glen though. I am just curious to know that is it normal for the boiler to turn on in an hour and off within a few seconds? I noticed mine turned on in an hour and when I check i saw the evaporated water had condensed near the knob side of the plate. As soon as that eveporated, it turned off. So I added more water on the same side and it turned on again.

Does this device have autocut so that boiling stops in 8 minutes
Yes.. The Egg Boiler have cut out which works as per the quantity of water, we add in its tray. When the water evaporates and hot plate becomes dry, it turn off the egg boiler and blue light goes off. Then we need to switch off the Egg Boiler from the On/OFF switch given on Egg boiler then we need to switch off the Egg Boiler from main switch where we plug it in.
Is it compulsory to hole eggs with pin
It's not compulsory to pin hole the the eggs but It would be better if you do to avoid cracking of eggs.
Egg poacher mein idli bna skte h?
Jee Bilkul Bnaa Sakte Hain Aap idli.
Isse Aap Steamer ki tarah bhi use kar sakte hain.

Approximately it takes 10 minutes to full boil an egg.... Or Eggs.
Can we reheat food
Yes, you can but it would not be that easy. You can reheat the cooked food in its steam but the bowl must be covered with a lid.
Or place your bowl on the hot plate and add some water on the base(dry hot plate wouldn't work) to reheat your food.
Can we steam vegetables in it?
Yes you can steam vegetables in it too. I have steamed Chicken Breast in it n have uploaded the video on youtube. Similarly you can steam vegetables in it too.

No... Rice can't be cooked in Egg Boiler.

No... Not in this model at least. Another model of Glen Egg Boiler is available with hot plate n timer. That may help you.

Good remark..We can imagine that it must be placed above those holes. However, you are right, eggs could have been placed, as also demo of post boiling auto power off feature could have been featured. First time users will think that they need to be watchful of time elapsed while doing the process.
