I had bonding too, lasted for a decade.
The thing is, discolouration and hairline crack mark appears at a certain stage and that's where you know you got to have it done again.
It is cheap, and you seriously need to find a dentist who isn't just a DENTIST, but also an ARTIST.
He/She can carve up your teeth to such a gorgeous extend that would put veneers to shame.
I never even new about this until recently. I'm getting 4 of my teeth bonded to close some gaps . Do they stain quickly?
Cool Dude I’m wondering that too but I read comments on another video that said theirs lasted up to 30 years. You can never really tell when people are telling the truth or not haah😂 I’m hoping if I get them they last 3 decades

Going on 20 yrs w/ 4 bonded lower teeth, and only 1 little chip. They started staining around year 10, and hairline cracks started at 15 yrs. I need them redone now, but it's SO expensive in L.A. It's still cheaper than veneers or crowns, tho.
Bri Hennessey veneers are the most invasive procedure I don’t recommend, they literally shave down your natural teeth down to the core essentially and if you regret it there’s literally no going back

I had composite bonding to my front 2 upper teeth when I was 8 after breaking them diving into a swimming pool. They're still on there now and I'm 31. Some dentists say it will only last 2 years! Some are obviously way better than others. One of mine is a bit chipped now and I'd like them a bit whiter eventually.
I've got bonding and it was supposed to last 5 year's. Its been 10 and never chipped or anything

Bonding can last up to 20 or a lifetime years if taken care off I had mines for 5 years and it's still looks good
Have they stained? I really enjoy drinking coffee & putting soy sauce on some foods 😩. I’m afraid they will stain.
@@SumKnight-iw4rw I just got mine done at a local dentist in the UK,they were NHS dentist but did offer private cosmetic work as well. but this was back in 2008 so it's actually 12 years 😮

I've just had one renewed but that was done on the normal NHS service, it wasn't even because there was wanting wrong with it they just wanted to check the tooth underneath and it was fine 👌👍
@@rosem230 my teeth weren't pearly white but they matched the bonding to the tooth colour and it's stayed exactly the same since.
I'm saving at the moment to get tooth whitening as well when they need replaced (no sign of that needing done yet though)
Bonding is fab. I had a gap in my teeth and got the bonding done and now can’t tell at all. I wish I’d have heard about it sooner because on wedding video I just uploaded I can really see the gap.
I had mine whitened and bonding to the front two teeth as well. Unbelievable the difference in the price of veneers and bonding. Your teeth look fantastic
I’m so glad I found this video! I have a gap between my 2 front teeth which has slowly got wider over the years, it looks awful and really affects my confidence. I’m definately going to speak to my dentist about having this done because I thought I’d need a brace or veneers!

I have the same issue!! Mine happened when I was 11 too and I’m now 19 and have still had the same part in, it came out 2 weeks after having it done however this has stayed in since it got repaired again. Around a month ago I had it filled from the back as it was coming away but now I’m worried about the colour of my actual tooth to the fake part and I want them whitened and straightened up so you have helped me so so much!! You look beautiful, love! I have bonding on my front teeth from a similar scenario. I chipped both my front teeth at a really young age and had them bonded ever since. I do get the bonding redone every 4-5 years because it does discolor, but as long as you;re careful it will last!
Does the bonding discolor from coffee or red wine, etc.? I have old bonding that is discolored and I want to have it redone but none of the dentists around here (NY) will do it. I don't want to bother if it's just going to discolor again.

The dentist has done an amazing job! These are actually the most common fillings I do on the front centrals :) VERY tricky to get right but yours look fab. Also, with the sensitivity from whitening, a good tip is to actually put the sensitive toothpaste in the moulds/trays and leave on your teeth for an hour or so as you would with the gel xxx

I had this done on my teeth I had a gap in the middle, the bonding that your talking about is basically a white filling instead they can use that filling to just fill in the gaps and mould it to a nice shape.. yours look so 🔥

Oh they look lovely! I have a corner of my front tooth moulded too as a man hit me in the face with a bottle in a pub when the football on screen scored a goal! Sounds terrible doesn’t it lol but it was a complete accident!

Oh my god the exact same thing happened to me on my bike, they use to just cap my tooth and anything I would eat it will just chip out 😩 awful waste of money still thinking of a way to sort it out xx

You’re teeth look soooo good! Would love to see how you whiten your teeth- I got a kit from the dentist once and was supposed to leave in overnight but woke up in agony after a few hours and my teeth were so painful and sensitive for days 😩
A tip always try bonding first instead of veneers once veneers is done it's always harder to go back on bonding can always get fixed up/touched up if need to be.

Amazing. I had bonding put on 2 teeth 8 years ago, never chipped but stained slightly. I'm getting my teeth whitened and wanted a few teeth reshaping and was quoted around £3500 which as a student, I just said no to lol. But my dentist offered composite bonding instead so I can get the look I want! You teeth look awesome
Ok you can get composite in bleach white I'm doing my own cause they charge thousands. I can say you can choose 12 different shades a 1 is the lightest but not pure white and composite bonding is cheap there's bleach white. So yep

My mom chipped in between her front two teeth with a cheap fork that was bent , she had bonding done It lasted her 20 year she’s now had to get it redone 👍

Since I turened 18 I left the dentist I used to have as it was private, and since then I'm nearly 24 and haven't managed tofind a dentist that I've liked! my teeth were ruined at the back were the filled very wrong and deeply and my teeth at the back have split in half! and I think all they topped it up with is a composite, so I will definitely have to see if I can get some bonding done to my teeth!! great video Lucy xx
I know this is 3 years on, but I’m desperately looking for a dentist in London who will bond teeth at £100 or less per tooth ( I have scuffed up teeth from adult braces). LJC mentioned £50 per tooth…anyone know who or where?

Omg amazing vid. I have peg laterals and I think this could work for me. Also have a bonding on my front tooth (#1) from biking accident as a child. Will see if my dentist can do this for me because my teeth are very very symmetrical just peg lats causing spaces.

I did exactly the same to my front teeth when I was 7, I’ve had them bonded quite a few times as I’ve chipped them loads. I’d love to whiten mine too but I’m worried about the bonds being a different colour. I need to straighten my bottom teeth too as they are. A bit crocked but I’m definitely going to got bk to my dentist now I know they can change my bonds to alighted shade!

It’s not called bonding, it’s called composite resin. You basically got a filling. And closing the gap is called a diastema closure.. using composite resin.

Whitening can only legally be prescribed in the UK by a dental professional after they have confirmed you are dentally fit to have it. Buying off eBay or any other non professional source is incredibly dangerous.

I have a bonded front tooth that needs redoing but my NHS dentist won't do it unless it breaks :( The bonded part has really yellowed & I hate it. Its almost half the tooth.... I can't whiten the rest of my teeth as the yellowing bonded bit will show up even more. But I broke my tooth when a boy deliberately tripped me up at school when I was pretending I was a horse & was galloping with my rider behind my holding my reins round my waist (skipping rope lol!). I was 7. I'm 46 now so it's really lasted!! Will have to have a word with my dentist & if she still won't do anything try to find another NHS dentist where I live who will. It's so worth it to get laser whitening at the dentist office. It cost $4-500USD, but u don't have sleep w/ those molds filled w/ that yucky gel-which u have to do for a while that makes ur teeth SOOO sensitive. The worst part is when they make ur mold, they put this cement mixture in ur mouth, & u have to wait for it to harden. But after that u sit for Only 1 hour, w/ the laser heat pointed at ur mouth, & then u have perfectly white teeth from 1 sitting. My teeth were quite off color from smoking & I achieved the 2cd to the whitest & lightest u can go

Hi, I’m a dental nurse & I know you didn’t but you really shouldn’t buy bleach over the internet!! It is sooo important that it is prescribed by a dentist to get to correct whitening for the individual :)

I wish they still have these “5 years ago prices.” Looking at about 8k minimum for 20 teeth. 350-600 per tooth. I say 20 because that how many of my teeth show when I smile. Composite veneers can actually last you up to 10 years if upkeep is tedious.

I have the same exact space i have been trying for years to find something affordable I was about to get braces but I needed some teeth removed well during my surgery for the removals they had to stop because I almost died! They said I Was about to have a heart attack and had to stop I am so scared to get more teeth pulled and it sucks because the one tooth that was important to remove they didn’t! So I found out about bonding and tmrw I have a consult I’m hoping I get good and affordable news. I hate my teeth 😞
