    When English Canada has talk we have to show French what was said. I noticed the French did not have anything in English. Why the unfairness?

      It's because we have a two tier system where Quebec receives 80 percent of respect and the roc receive only 20 percent of respect.

    i think most people in quebec are happy if you make an effort and respect the language..shunning it off is what they do not like

      I thought everyone had to take French in school in Canada? In America almost everyone I knew took a foreign language and even at my college I had to take Spanish....

    This isn't a debate, this is a speak over each other as loudly as possible event. Embarrassing that Canadian politics doesn't seem to understand the whole concept of debate rules.

      I think as a society we have lost what it means to be Canadian division of values and beliefs are changing Canadians today. Personally I don't believe diversity and multiculturalism is a good thing for Canada. The more diverse we become the more different we become. You now have towns in the country that is populated by one culture like a getto. Look at Burnaby where there are many Asians and Brampton where there are many south Asian people . just look at Quebec they have their own country, laws, and language.

    For your province leader sure speaking French is important, but not for the leader of the nation. Majority speak English you go to the UN those countries learn English to communicate come on I'm tired of giving whinny Quebec what they want.

      I am in anglo supremacy side but it deosnt mean we have the right to evaporate their identity. Canada is officially bilingual regardless which one is the majority. Therefore the leader must be fluent on both as a mandatory requirement. Come on language learning is super beneficial, it shodulnt be seen as punishment but a educational blessing

      @Jeff Anderson the slangs is the less matters, i am british so outside the UK nobody use our slangs, so what? A reason to be evaporated? Nope, same with French speaking countries and regions. I learn language because is is jolly beneficial to unlock communication possibilities, not jsut because a quite direct need, that' s mediocre

      Ce n’est pas seulement le Québec qui est francophone, l’Ontario, le Nouveau-Brunswick ont une forte présence francophone. Tu ne vas pas comprendre mon commentaire alors que moi je comprends le tien parce que les francophones du Québec sont forcés à être bilingue contrairement aux anglophones unilingues. Bonne journée.

    You need to evaluate the candidate according to his real deeds
    Not knowledge of the language
    Question CBC: what if the candidate cannot swim 🏊‍♀️? (can't save a drowning person)
    And that from this he cannot be prime minister?

      Ppc didn't have the popularity number to join the debates when they were set up, now ppc sits around 4.5-6% they can join if they wanted now but it would take a court order I believe.
