Hiking in the Dolomites: Tre Cime di Lavaredo

Crazy weather hiking the Tre Cime trail! Got caught in a storm as we reached the other side of the peaks, got soaked in ice-cold water, but a few hours later the sun was beating down on us.
The Tre Cime di Lavaredo is an iconic set of three peaks the trail around the peaks can be reached by shuttle bus from Toblach. The bus is strictly by reservation so we stuck to our schedule despite the thunderstorm predictions on our weather app. When the storm hit we decided to turn back, but when the weather cleared we decided to continue on the trail but in the opposite direction. In hindsight we probably could have completed the loop if we pushed on the original direction, but at the time we had no way of knowing if the storm has passed or if it will continue to rain.
We still had a great view of the three peaks and some of the best trail views of our trip so this was still a great experience!
