    Some of you wanted to know about the accessories that I have on the bike that are useful while touring. I've made this video to tell you all about what I have, what I think of it and where I got it. Hope you guys find this useful. Please do watch and share :). Thank you.

      I usually get an average of a little over 30kmpl. Need to check again now though. I usually cruise at about 90, not a fan of higher speeds on this bike over long distances because it will just increase the amount of vibration.

    As always.. a treat to watch your videos. Some things that came into my mind : 04:47 : drill holes into the base plate to have collected water drain out to prevent rusting. 05:45 : presuming that the device you are going to charge is placed inside your tankbag, you can place the usb charger more down close to the handle bar mounts, tht will reduce the amount of ur charging wire dangling and flapping in the wind. 09:12 : best way to get rid of that burn stain from the exhaust wrap is scrape it off as much as possible with emery paper nd then spray muriatic acid (HCl) nd leave it for abt 15-20mins nd then wash it off with cold water, the chrome sparkle should come back. And those lights are just AWESOME!!

      Hey Abhijit, thanks for watching. Useful suggestions, those. I guess it's a good idea to clean out the pipes, but I'll do that whenever I pull this wrap off. The lights make such a huge difference, can't believe I ever rode without them. Haha.

    Very ingenious way of protecting your travel luggage. They say necessity is the mother of invention. You have once again proved this to be true. Also I love your rack. It is very utilitarian. Here in the states you can not find nothing like that. Guess Touratec and H&B and SW-Motec would be out of business if the vain yuppies ever got off there style trips. Heading to the Metal Store today to buy me some Stainless Pipe and see if I can build that rack you have on your bike. It look like you can put what ever kind of luggage you want on it and don't have to invest over a thousand dollars just to carry half of what you can carry.
    Anyways as we say in my neck of the woods, keep between the two white lines bother. Love to see you enjoying the two wheel life. If you ever in the states hit me up. Don't have much, but I do have a dry corner to put a sleep bag and a nice shower. God Bless

    I have the Symtac hazard light system and feel it's much better than the Novatronix. To activate the Novatronix one has to do the following series with the indicator light switch "left-right and left-right".
    However the Symtac one has a dedicated switch and all one needs you to do is turn it on an it comes with 20 patterns (I only use 1-2). And indicator works without turning off the hazard light.
    Just my 2 cents.

    About the handlebar grips, they will get dirty at first, but eventually, it will absorb the dirt, making it look really nice. I've the same ones on my Bullet 500. They have withstood an excessive amount of dirt and grease, however, I'm yet to see how they hold under rain/water.

    One request, could you do a video on how to install the novatronix hazard system for ThunderBird? I have a TB350 and my stock hazard switches don't work anymore, would appreciate if you can make a video on this for DIY lovers.
    Thanks again.

    • @TollFreeTraveller
      @TollFreeTraveller  Před 7 lety

      Thanks a lot, Abhishek. About the hazard light system, I actually did consider making a video, particularly because the videos put up by Novatronix are outdated and do not apply to the Thunderbird (the wiring is different). I only haven't done it because in this situation the manufacturer hasn't provided clear instructions, and I don't want to tell people to do things a certain way. It might affect warranty etc. Hopefully Novatronix will get new videos up - I've already suggested this to them. That having been said, if you do get the system, install it yourself (you can call and ask them to guide you through the process) - it's a lot of fun to figure out the electricals on your bike

  • @deepaksam558
    @deepaksam558 Před 7 lety

    Woww Rohith, you made a fantastic video once again buddy. As usual I have few things to ask in this video too. 1. As you mentioned I have the same problem on choosing the fog lights that are mounted on your crash guard. I love the brightness that you had on your bike. Is there a watts specified or any link will be of great help. (Read all the comment below and couldn't find one)
    2. Also please do another video with the accessories that you wear. Cos I found the gloves you had on the previous video it was nice. I have found the gloves online but need more info from you. Cos detailing is really good.
    3. Is it good to go on long rides after completing 1000kms and what speed am I suppose to maintain to make the bike perform on a longer run

    • @TollFreeTraveller
      @TollFreeTraveller  Před 7 lety +1

      Hi Deepak. Thanks for watching. About the lights, I've provided a link in the description of my video. THat seller on ebay no longer seems to be selling the lights (so you can't buy from that link) but you will get all the technical specs from that. I will definitely make a video about my riding gear (maybe not right away though). For now, please read my blogpost about "Riding Gear Essentials" - that provides all the details about the gear that I currently use. About the long ride, I usually maintain a speed of around 90kmph on the highway, but this is more because I find that the most comfortable (the faster you go the more the bike vibrates). Hope that's helpful.

    very cool, don't think I would be able to travel with the weight of that rack... good job editing.

    • @TollFreeTraveller
      @TollFreeTraveller  Před 7 lety

      Relative to the weight of the bike, the rack weighs almost nothing. Hahaha. It's just really useful for the kind of touring that I do. Thanks, Michael.

    It's a treat to watch your videos brother. Recently I have bought my new bike Thunderbird 350x. When should I put engine oil when I'm going for long trips?

    👍👍U should have changed ur bike's default headlight bulb with d LED one compatible from some good brand.. In that case, foglight would've become useless.. 😉😎

    Nice Video and nicely explained. Also is the harzard lights only compatible with Royal Enfield or they are universal?

    • @TollFreeTraveller
      @TollFreeTraveller  Před 7 lety +1

      Thanks, Rohit. From what I understand these are for the RE only because the LED bulbs and stuff are designed based on the RE requirements. But you could write to the guys at Novatronix and ask them whether they've got something for other bikes too. I guess a lot of the technology will be similar, so they might be able to help.

    Did you ever thought about getting a aftermarket handlebar , carburry vibration reduction plates or getting rid of saree guard/pillion backrest?
