We are in fact made in His image ... just as God has 3 natures ... Father, Son and Holy Spirit .. we too have a Soul (thoughts, will , emotions ) a body (Christ was the Word that became flesh) and a Spirit ... which is the Spirit if God that completes us 🙏🏻
We never say we are 3 people... we are one ... But when we die our souls and spirit will leave our body.... just as God is one with 3 natures ... so are we one with 3 natures ... made in His image :)

The immediate context in the chapter is that Jesus is leaving earth but that He is coming again through the Holy Spirit whom Jesus says the Father will send in My Name. The Father is the one sending, the Father sent the Son to earth and then He is going back to the Father and the Father sends Jesus again through the Person of the Spirit. In this sense, the Father is greater than the Son, the Father is the planner and the Son is used to execute the plans. Jesus does declare in a previous chapter that He has equal power to the Father using very similar words found in John 14. It is really worth looking at the verses in respect to the passage in John 14 as it helps shed light on what Jesus is saying; In John 10:29 Jesus says that My Father is greater than all and that no one can snatch them out of My Father's hand. When the passage is taken in context Jesus is actually declaring that He is greater than all, along side the Father. The verse immediately before states that the Father has given Me authority to give eternal life and that no one can snatch them out of MY (Jesus') hand. This is His first affirmation and then He says that the Father is greater than all and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father's hand. So is the Father greater than Jesus? Jesus just said in the previous verse that no one is able to snatch them out of My hand He affirms that He and Father have the same power. And so the one sense that Jesus shows the Father as being greater, looking at the context of John 10 ad 14 is that the Father is the one who gives the authority to the Son to have the flock and to give eternal life to whom He will and, in the sinilar position, thw Father is greater in that He is ultimately the Planner. Clearly though, Jesus is indeed omnipotent just as the Father but He plays a submissive role to the Father. Last point, we know that He is equal to the Father in the next verse after Jesus says that no one is able to snatch them out of My Father's hand Jesus states I and My Father are one. The Jews understood what He was really saying and they accused Him of blasphemy and for exalting Himself as God... Case closed.

Excellent question. The short answer is that you and I are sinners. Our sin makes it impossible to have a relationship with God and the penalty for our sin is death - eternal separation from God. Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God". Because you and I could do nothing for ourselves, Jesus Who is God incarnate, came to earth, lived a sinless life and took on Himself the punishment that should have been yours and mine. John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

I believe; I disagree. "God is one being, three person", as he said, is not an agreeable teaching. There are three entity of God, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. They exist all at a time.
"And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?” (Matt. 27:46, KJV).
The above verse explains of the existence of "the Father" and "the Son" in Heaven and on earth, respectively, at the same time.
"But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me: (John 15:26)
"And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;" (John 14:16)
The above verses are explaining the three different entity at the same time. "The Father" and "the Holy Spirit" are in Heaven, while "the Son" is on this earth. John 14:16 says, "ANOTHER". That means, a "third" entity beside "the Father" and "the Son".
Grammatically, the Holy Spirit is specified as "he" (third person) and the Son is been specified as "I" and "me" (first person), and "the Father" have ben specified and the second person.
They exist at the same time as different entity.

1 Corinthians 15:28 And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.
Respectfully the Trinity did not start until the early 3rd century. And it's nothing more than a confusing lie. 1 Corinthians 14 : 33 God is not the author of confusion.
in order to believe the Trinity you would have to deny that God gave his only begotten son so we saved.
You would also have to deny...
John 20:17Jesus said unto her touch-me-not for am not yet ascended to my father but go to that brother in and say unto them I ascended to my father and your father and to my God and your God.
Romans 10:9 that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus and thou shalt believe that believe in thine heart that God has raised him from the dead. I shall be saved.
You have to deny the majority of the Bible to believe in the Trinity
Please do your research and actually read the Bible. Jesus warned us not to be deceived

And the law said he is Gods son untill God put all his adversaries under his feet... It means untill the end times or judgements day.. then after that everything will back to normal like what he was before the earth was made..... The Bible says that "In the beginning, the Word was with God and the Word was God". So Jesus existed in Heaven, as God's son and his equal. God's sent Jesus down here as a man though. A human body can only hold so much power! So, literally, Jesus had less power here than he was used to having, but he was still himself and is therefore one with the father. So, clearly, God is literally greater than Jesus literally - as in terms of size! When Jesus ascended into Heaven he got the rest of his power back.

Jimmy, Jesus clearly said that He was God and it was for this position that He was crucified. Here is one example of what Jesus said about Himself in John 8:56-59 "Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad. Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham? Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am. Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by."
All but one of the Apostles were martyred because they believe Jesus to be God incarnate.

I respectfully disagree. The Father is greater applies not just during but after Jesus's life on earth. Jesus identifies the Father as greater, the one true God, his God, numerous times which you explain by saying this was just a temporary, self imposed limitation that was lifted after he was glorified/resurrected. However, Jesus says "I go to my God and your God" AFTER his resurrection and even AFTER ascending. In Revelation, it begins with, "the Revelation of Jesus Christ which GOD gave Him... also, Jesus says in Revelation, "Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of MY GOD, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of MY GOD, and the name of the city of MY GOD, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from MY GOD." The Father is the most high God, period. Per Jesus, "there is one true God, the Father" (no "coequality" mentioned)... Per Paul, "For us there in one God, the Father" The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ...even after Jesus's resurrection.

You can say he is a God because he is a Mighty One or because of his preeminence or superiority. But saying he is God creates a lot of problem. Trinitarians say Jesus is God thus making him equal to the Father who alone is the only true God. Yet, we find out clearly in the scriptures that the Father is greater than the Son and He is the Head of the Son.

Jesus mentioned i and the father are one that means of one purpose or cause and the holy spirit is the power of the almighty not another god but the Father himself . God dwells fully in the son as in all power is given unto the son to do the unseen fathers will in heaven and on earth even the universe entire as Christ is the rightful heir to the throne of his fathers kingdom which is heaven and all creation after all though Jesus has a earthly body which is no more his spirit was that of the almighty .Christ said i cannot do these things by myself but by he who sent me if he could do these things by himself he would not have said it and God needs no one or need to rely on anyone for anything CHRIST HAS THE POWER OF THE FATHER BECAUSE IT WAS GIVEN TO HIM HE DID NOT HAVE IT BEFORE THE FATHER GAVE IT TO HIM

    Jesus is the Father.
Jesus was talking about the Father and was asked the question alot of us would ask. Ok, show us the Father. Show us God and we will be satisfied. Even the apostles at this time didnt know who and what Jesus is hours from His death the same as ppl today. So Jesus made it plain who and what He is.. This is what Jesus said.. Joh 14:8 Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us.
Joh 14:9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?
Paul was teaching about the law explaining that in order for a woman to become divorced her husband must die. This law required the death of her true husband not a proxy and not her son but the one she is married to. Read these verses.
Rom 7:3 So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.
Rom 7:4 Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.
Remember that the bible says that it takes the Father of the Son to die not the Son. God robbed Himself in flesh. If not there was no divorce and the death of Jesus has no power over anything. If Jesus isn't the Father you and I would never be
divorced from the law thru the death, and the blood of Jesus. Jesus said how can you even ask me to show you the Father. Jesus basically said, Really?

Matt. 26:39, “Jesus Christ fell on his face and prayed, ‘My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as thou wilt.’” (If the Father and the Son were not distinct individuals, such a prayer would have been meaningless. Jesus would have been praying to himself, and his will would of necessity have been the Father’s will.)
John 8:17, 18, “[Jesus answered the Jewish Pharisees:] In your law it is written that the testimony of two men is true; I bear witness to myself, and the Father who sent me bears witness to me.” (So, Jesus definitely spoke of himself as being an individual separate and distinct from the Father.)
Jesus also taught his disciples to pray: “Our father which art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.” Our heavenly Father, whose name is Jehovah, is described in the Bible as being superior to his Son. For example, Jehovah is“from everlasting to everlasting.” But the Bible says that Jesus is “the firstborn of every creature.” It goes on to say that Jehovah is greater than Jesus. Jesus himself taught this when he said: “My Father is greater than I.”
The Father’s superiority over the Son, as well as the fact that the Father is a separate person, is highlighted also in the prayers of Jesus, such as the one before his execution:“Father, if you wish, remove this cup [that is, an ignominious death] from me. Nevertheless, let, not my will, but yours take place.” (Luke 22:42) If God and Jesus are “one in essence,” as the Trinity doctrine says, how could Jesus’ will, or wish, seem different from that of his Father?-Hebrews 5:7, 8;9:24.
Furthermore, if Jehovah and Jesus were the same, how could one of them be aware of things of which the other was not? Jesus, for instance, said regarding the time of the world’s judgment: “Concerning that day or the hour nobody knows, neither the angels in heaven nor the Son, but the Father.”-Mark 13:32.

@@AstariahFox jesus has been given all authority by the father. The now we are dealing with jesus. We example, jesus will be the judge of people in future , not the father.
The father is God, no doubt. But God the Father has authorised the son to be in charge.

YHVH is unknown name.... no one knows God's name.. until Jesus till us about Him and his name... Look even the wise men of Athens worshiped God of Israel but they put the word... UNKNOWN GOD. That also Paul tell them that it was Jesus whom they worshiped.. even the priest of Israel they dont even know that it was Jesus that they where worshiped in the house of God.. remember that Jesus said "they forshake me but in vain they worship me....

Jesus Christ is the Son of God. It's just that simple! We don't have to change the Word to fit our level of comprehension. This teaching is full of error!
