Last time I tried to get an RC to go fast I ended up having one less RC.
Definitely my concern with going this fast!! If I had access to a runway, I think I’d be addicted.

Just to share some info on the battery monitoring thing that spektrum has. I haven't used it specifically but I have flown fpv drones for years. When I first started flying I used a voltage alarm but pretty quickly just stopped and went to just flying on a timer. The reason is in a high powered drone (similar to these cars) you draw so many amps when you are on the throttle hard that it will always alarm but those are just momentary drops in voltage and when you ease back on throttle you then get a better picture of what the pack voltage actually is. Long story short of you pay attention to the alarm and just stop when it goes off you are leaving lots of voltage left in the pack and aren't likely getting anywhere close to an actual low voltage situation. You'll get more useful info just throwing a voltage checker on the balance leads real quick when you bring the car back and it's at rest. The spektrum system is likely to just yell at you all the time and make you feel like you are needing to stop when it's not necessarily an issue.
The GTR body is certainly a good looking set up, battle scars included.

I always feel the same pain myself. I keep 2 bodies for each of my runners. Ironically, I still feel it when I damage a running body & always doctor it back to good shape.

My tear glands flinched as it took to the sky. I'm glad the damage was mostly cosmetic even though that body iiiiissss SMOOTH!(I heard a young barista gal use "smooth" Saturday morning. I guess SPANK has finally fallen out of fashion). That crash did trim out your wing for more speed for ya😄. Thanks for another great video! It was awesome to see Nicole again. What a fun wife.🙂

You should be able to get most of the scratches out the body using car headlight repair kit. Lots of sanding and a good polish, scratches all gone! I'm waiting for warmer weather to break out my limitless this spring.

Sick 🏁🏁👍😃,. Some times I put some gorilla tape on the tops of my body for protection,then take it off right after. It's saved a lot of body's.
You most definitely need a much longer road for this! Ease into the throttle over a longer distance, you should be continuing to accelerate as the car passes your location. You will hear the car noises dip, then steadily increase all the way to terminal velocity, kinda sounds like "shifting gears". Your short road forces you to go full throttle too soon, and then brake early so as not to run out of road, no room for top out. Hope this makes sense. 🍻
That body damage hurts my soul. Amazing for a lightly modified car to be running so fast, every time, this is how you get me doing expensive stuff 😂😂😟

Shoegoo adhesive and some nylon sheetrock tape to repair that broken left front fender and sand and polish as good as new.

You can always do what I do and just add a sheet of carbon fiber overlay to the roof. Not only does it look good but it helps keep the roof saved and if you do scrape the carbon you just peel it off and put another piece LOL

Better upgrade the wing to titanium... and the hood, roof..... At least you get nice sparks if it lands on it's roof again 😂😂
Right!! I put the titanium skids on the bottom for the cool sparks, turns out it was the wrong side!
@@HarleyDesignsInc speedrunning seems to be a risky business. Those cars spend more time on their roofs then most crawlers... while doing speeds illegal outside of Germany or the Isle of Man.

Man that’s a bummer.. nice road though, inside wasn’t even dirty but that seam in the road caught the lip during breaking? If it matters enough to you, the roof can be wetsand & buffed even by hand with the correct items and clear gorilla epoxy will mend your body crack. Just use clear tape on the outside and stand the body upright so the epoxy can self level and stay as a little pool above the crack until it hardens. You’ll be good.
Going off of your motor temp after a bunch of high speed pulls you should be able to add 1-3 teeth on the pinion. Don't forget the cat toy next time 😂

94 is insanely fast for a car that's essentially stock. Body damage definitely a bummer though.
Great runs I think you’ll get that 100 mark very soon with more runway , was the first airborne was that hitting a manhole ? It seemed quite sudden.
Yeah, so true. I have some very mean manholes out in front of my house. I can hit them going one way but if you hit going the other….goodbye r/c. I know from experience.
If you're still running on 6s, people have found the Spektrum 8s 160A esc bolts right in. Granted you may fry the motor eventually but you should blast past 100mph with no issues.
I think if I change out ESC’s, I may just go XLX2, but I don’t think that day is coming anytime soon.
@@HarleyDesignsInc I saw one guy running the stock setup and a 150c battery and hit 97.5mph. Another tooth or 2 on the pinion should help your top speed. I'd be very interested to see you crest 100mph. Keep up the awesomeness!
Might be worth dialing out that toe-in on the rear wheels, rear toe-in is to make your turning more responsive, something not really needed for a speed run. so your needlessly scrubbing the rear tyres and adding drag.
That’s interesting, not sure I’ve seen the parts to adjust that on this platform. I’ll look into it.

Proline has the most body options for the Infraction platform. They usually state what kind of body mounting modifications are required as well.

Just watched an Israelian on YT do 200 and it's ridiculous! His channel is Raz something. The next body might should be one of those crazy looking carbon fiber aero one's.
Raz Shiffrin is the guy. They do pretty amazing speeds, and I'm very jealous of that runway they have. I think I'd be addicted if I had that runway!

Those aren't the batteries to use for speed runs.. Go with packs made for speed runs and you won't have battery warnings

I got myself one of those radios and am seriously less than impressed. Lame telemetry display. Why are you using the satellite speedo? Why not use the one in the radio? that body's really really cool. temps should be on the telemetry too..Ironic I found this link in an email sent to me from Spektrum RC. Maybe cuz you have that radio and the stickers all over the car, yet you're not using the radio to it's fullest. Again, I'm really bummed about buying that radio. Sorry Spektrum, but my 11-12 year old radio I got with my Losi Ten-T and also came with my Losi 8IGHT 2.0 buggy is way better as far as telemetry display goes. All displayed on one screen. Speed, Temp, and voltages. They dropped the transmitter ball in my opinion.

I get 89 with my 27tooth v2 infraction out the box.. u spent all that money to go a couple miles an hour faster waste of money but I guess some people are rich and can spend that when they fix it after it's broken
Almost all the upgrades I made outside of the electronics had nothing to do with speed.
The electronics were given to me just to play with the SMART tech. This is basically the same as stock. So not sure why yours is slower 😁

@@mikelester5524 the money spent on those extras weren’t even for speed, just style, strength and cleanliness. I’d assume anyone should be able to get over 90 with a stock one of these without really trying.
