- #ilovervlife #stsimonsisland #lighthouses On a recent trip to the Georgia coast, we took a day to see the sites at St. Simons Island. St. Simons Island is the largest of the Golden Isles barrier Islands. We toured Fort Frederica and the St. Simons Lighthouse. There are wonderful places to tour and especially the areas where the natural beauty of the island has been preserved.

Thanks Debbie
Enjoyed the tour and loved the Spanish Moss.
Thanks Norm.
You mentioned small houses, well small houses in the 18th century and now people are going back to them in the 21st century. How time keeps comming around. Great, great video!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just beautiful.
Thanks so much Earl. History does repeat itself.
What a nice representation of our local area. Thank you, glad you enjoyed your time in SE Coastal Georgia.
Thanks Beth. A beautiful area. Loved the Georgia coast. We only had a couple days in the area. Looking forward to our return.
Great video and narration as always Jerry and Joan! I really enjoy your excursions. I love RV life is wonderful. Thanks for sharing this history trip. Be blessed Jerry and Joan!
Thanks so much
Thank you for the videos ... I have climbed a number of lighthouses and it is always beautiful at the top (scenery). Thanks for letting us see through your climb ... also the fort ... very interesting as I have not seen either place as of yet!
Thanks Rose. Our 2nd lighthouse. St. Augustine last year.
I have a white iron and brass bed, that has been passed down through the generations, just like the one in the light keepers bedroom. Thanks for sharing.
My sister still has hers too.

@@iLoveRVlife after watching your video on Skidaway island we book our weekend stay there for this coming weekend on our way to Florida!
Fun place. A favorite. Have a great time.
The lighthouse is great to see at night. Another great lighthouse is on Sapelo Island
Sapelo is a unique place to visit. Great place to picnic and spend the day.
*The Spanish Moss makes the trees look so beautiful......I really like seeing the artifacts in the museum....thanks for sharing*
Pretty place. Glad we could share.
Beautiful video. I really enjoyed seeing it. Thanks.
However, one point to make is that the Battle of Bloody Marsh didn't occur at the fort, but about 5 miles south. There's a parking area and a historical marker at the actual site off Old Demere Road.
Thanks a bunch. Gives me a hunt for more history.
What an amazing place with wonderful history. I guess tiny house living goes back to at least 1736. Thank you both for sharing and have a safe trip.
Thanks. Haha. No kidding!
Beautiful place. Kinda reminds me of Savanna Ga. hope y’all are enjoying your weekend. Be safe and have a lot of fun. Really enjoy your videos.
Thanks a bunch John.
Love your videos. Also like Inland Harbor. We stay there often when photographing on the coast. We live on Lake Sinclair.
Pretty place. Have a friend who lives at Sinclair near Twin Bridges.
We were there in February. What a beautiful area.
Safe travels and good health.
Thanks Curt
You were looking at Jekyll not Little St Simons. Hope you visit Jekyll at some point.
Thanks David. Realized the error after I launched the video. Forgot they were so close. So much to see in the area. Short trip this time. Hope to return soon.
Great video😃👍👍Is there a charge to go up in the lighthouse? I’ll be heading to st. Simons island next week😃
Thanks. $12 for the museum and lighthouse.
@@iLoveRVlife Thank you🙏👍
Small world. We live near Twin Bridges also, been RVing since 02. Be safe on the road.
Jerry, why were you huffing and puffing going up the stairs in the light house? Out of shape are we? lol j/k. I probably would have to.
Hahaha Ty. You bet! As the great modern philosopher T. Keith stated: “I ain’t as good as I once was, but I’m as good once, as I ever was”. ;)
@@iLoveRVlife LOL...If that isn't the truth?
What campground did y’all stay at?
Sorry should have listened all the way through you mentioned where you stayed.
No problem. Inland Harbor was a nice place.
