  • Bloom’s Taxonomy of Educational objectives
    • Classified objective into 3 main domains.
    A. Cognitive Domain
    B. Affective Domain
    C. Psychomotor Domain
    C. Psychomotor Domain
    • Concerned with the development of motor skills.
    • The psychomotor objectives emphasize on
    - motor skill,
    - manipulation of materials and objectives or
    - some acts which require a neuromuscular coordination.
    • The Taxonomy committee did not produce a compilation for
the psychomotor domain model, but others have.
    • There are three primary taxonomies of the psychomotor domain they are
    E. J Simpson’s (1966),
    R. Dave’s (1970) and
    A. J Harrow’s (1972) psychomotor domains.
    The Psychomotor domain (Simpson, 1966)
    - Includes physical movement, coordination, and use of the motor-skill areas.
    - Development of these skills requires practice and is measured in terms of speed, precision, distance, procedures, or techniques in execution.
    - Thus, psychomotor skills range from manual tasks, such as digging a ditch or washing a car, to more complex tasks, such as operating a complex piece of machinery or dancing.

    4. Articulation
    5. Naturalization
    The Psychomotor domain (A. J Harrow, 1972)
    • Anita Harrow's taxonomy for the psychomotor domain is organized according to the degree of coordination including involuntary responses as well as learned capabilities.
    • Simple reflexes begin at the lowest level of the taxonomy, while complex neuromuscular coordination make up the highest
    Levels
