- 🌵🦩🌵This adorable little pink cottage is located in Sarasota, Florida. It is in such a beautiful neighborhood where peacocks roam the live oak canopied streets. It was a treat to take a walk each day and look at the pretty houses and tropical flowers and plants. I hope you will join me on the Sarasota Succulent Garden Tour where I fell in love with pencil cactus and agaves.

🌵🦩🌵 Strawberry Fields Salad 🌵🦩🌵 serves 2
1/3 cup walnuts chopped
1 teaspoon butter
2 tablespoon sugar
5 oz baby spinach leaves
3 sliced crispy bacon, crumbled
thinly sliced red onion to taste
3 cups sliced strawberries
1/3 cup feta cheese crumbles
For Poppy Dressing
1/4 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
1 tablespoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
2 teaspoon poppy seeds
salt and pepper to taste
- In a small skillet over medium heat place walnuts, butter and sugar. Cook about 5 minutes stirring constantly. Stir until all sugar is melted and nuts are coated. Turn onto a sheet of parchment and immediately separate the nuts. Let cool.
- Layer salad ingredients onto individual serving plates.
- For dressing place all ingredients into large bowl and whisk .
- To serve drizzle salad with dressing. Top with walnuts.

The place where you had your picnic looks to be the grounds of The Ringling Museum. Anyone visiting Sarasota should go there. The grounds are as artistic as the museum…. Maybe even more so! I go there and wander often. Lovely Banyan trees and other flowering trees, something is always in bloom. on another note.. i think #nochitchat is my new favorite thing!!

She was abandoned by her own mother but she was able to forgive and she became a wonderful mother. She was able to give to me what she didn't have for herself. 🌴♥️🌴

Hi Gwen I just found your channel. I’ve had a life change and recently moved I had to downsize in order to stay in Florida but I bought a small ranch home and currently trying to to give it a cottage garden feel. I really enjoyed your content plus the soft music and the water sounds brought so much clarity. Also when you prayed to eat with your mom and everything was so healthy. That really resonates with me. I’m a widow now so it’s been hard on me. My family is north but I don’t have much and can’t afford the move back home. Blessed to be here in Florida and making the best of what I have left. So enjoyable when you see how people in different states have created their home and lifestyle around the beauty of that state. Having visited Florida a number of times I can vouch for it's beauty. Beaches are very different than California. Lovely, I also find those in desert states and rural farm states that have made their life beautiful, as well, with what the state offers.

I will have to make the salad and dressing according to your recipe. I need to head over to the beach to collect some crushed shell like you did. I have a bunch of agave plants that were gifted to me and they've made a lot of pups that need new homes. I've not thought of sea shells as a topping layer to the planter. It looks like a Allamanda flower. I see them mostly yellow but there are purple varieties. I've lived in FL forever but I could be wrong. Such a beautiful video of your pink cottage. 🌺🌸
