    [About the bento box]
    Hi it’s imamu! I get some questions about my husband’s bento box so let me talk about that. First of all, the bento box is my mom send me from Japan. If you interested in the bento box, please check Amazon Japan ( Japanese one has many choices(design, size). need to change language setting from the menubar )
    ••• my husband’s bento box •••
    Name/ 「Wooden bento box」 or 「Wappa bento box」
    Size/ Small
    (The size is important to arrange your amount of food. In my husband case...he doesn’t wanna eat too much at his work. I wanna pack the side dishes tightly because he put on his backpack when he get work. We don’t the dishes wanna act up that’s why small size for him.)
    How he eats/
    He eats the bento like room temperature. That’s natural thing for me and him. He also wanna start eating lunch at work quickly.
    The reason why I like wooden bento box is/
    1. The nostalgic design :)
    2. Lightweight
    3. The rice is tasty
    ( The wood moisturizes so that’s it won’t easily become hard to get stuck even when the rice is cold) ←This is depend on the wood quality. I guess( hope lol ) our bento box working well for that~
    How I treat the wooden box/
    1. Wash (ours is urethane coating so I use soap)
    2. Wipe up wet part with a towel
    3. Dry naturally
    ( The wood don’t go well with water. When my husband can’t wash and dry naturally it at work, just wipe up in the box and bring home. ( and I treat lol )
    I learn that’s better rather than wash and put it in backpack soon.)
    I explain a lot but I just wanna say, it’s important to use bento box that you LIKE :) ( If you like hello kitty, that would be so cute ~!)
    I think they motivate a lot to make bento !

    I love how she said "out of stock" when she meant home. I'm gonna say that to my mom now. "Hey do we have milk in the fridge?" "No. They are out of stock at the moment."
    Also, I love how she makes all of the meals look so pretty like I have never tried most of that, but because it looks pretty I'd most likely do so

    • @emeralddarkness
      @emeralddarkness Před 3 lety +6

      It may well be she means that, but also could mean AP flour was out of stock at the store, what with the run on baking and difficulty getting flour at the store during the beginning of lockdown.

    • @dOVERanalyst
      @dOVERanalyst Před 3 lety +1

      Just curious, what else do you say? We are in India but we also say "out of stock".
      Isn't that the normal thing to say?
      I literally say, "Mom, milk is out of stock".

    • @SoullessEyes22
      @SoullessEyes22 Před 3 lety +4

      @@dOVERanalyst well it generally depends. I'm from america so if we're meaning in the house, I normally say "hey we ran out of milk." But if it's in the store I normally say "they were out of milk." Some people say it differently here, but that's how I say it

    • @dOVERanalyst
      @dOVERanalyst Před 3 lety +1

      @@SoullessEyes22 haha...it's pretty funny isn't it...so many things we take it for granted...We think the way we speak in our family everyone does the same way. It's nice getting to know how the rest of the world is losing it on her getting up so early & making lunches when it's a reality for 2 billion Indians & we think it's normal. Only yesterday my bro said Bhabhi (sis in law) wakes at 5am to make lunch boxes for him, two kids, breakfast, etc etc.
      And I keep getting taunts....if I'll ever live up to the tradition. ;P
      Cooking breakfast & packing lunch (Tiffin) for just myself was a hassle. 🥴😬Needless to say, I ran out of time a few days & those days lunch was out 🏃‍♀️😂

    • @emeralddarkness
      @emeralddarkness Před 3 lety +1

      @@dOVERanalyst generally, at least in the USA, a thing being in stock or out of stock is linked to selling that item (and in the rare cases it is not it tends to be related to a large amount of a single item). So like for milk, a store might buy stock (units they plan to sell) of milk, then stock (refill shelves or whatever so that the item can be grabbed and later bought) the milk, at which point it would be in stock (there would be units available to buy), and if all were sold it would be out of stock. A private individual with no plans to resell might stock (stockpile in this case) any long term food storage, like if you bought 20 cans of tuna to keep and use slowly as needed you could say you were stocking up on tuna, but when you run out of an item as a private individual as there are neither large quantities nor selling involved you usually just say you're out or you've run out.

    質問です!🙋🏻‍♀️ 一週間分を一気に作っていますか?私もこれから作ろうと思っていますが、仕事は遅くまでやっているので、このレシピは一週間置いてもいいのかなっと😅

    Hi I live in the US and I am curious, do people heat up bento boxes when they take them to workplace/school? if so, how? if not, are meals meant to be eaten more cold? I am just curious, I hope you can see this :)

      Yeah I think he likes the flavor so he’ll eat it at home but he doesn’t want to disturb his coworkers with the garlic smell, since it lingers, so he asks her not to put it in bento. (that’s why she makes teenager comment in this video, bc he is easily embarrassed like one 😂 so cute)
