      I just would not bother, send it in to google, is the same price that ifixit charge for the loose screen… if an original screen was half the repair t google, yes i do it my self..but at the same price…no

      @joller79 there are other suppliers out there and I'm not talking about the random people with low quality screens on Amazon lol. Etechparts is where I buy my replacements now.

      @@joller79 Just drove over my phone, im getting new screen for 150 ish, and i'll install it myself :D.. screen is broken so no point in babying it while removing that.
      Cleaned as much glue as I can, gonna put that flex cable and weight it with some books.

      @@AlphaKala whatever you feel like doing, if the screen is the only thing broken after a car over it, then great. Here in Denmark, an aftermarket screen costs the same as an original from ifixit europe, so no need to save money there… the i fixit kit have a few tools and so on, yes, but you still have to have the hastle of you mght break stuff when taking apart… it took me under a week from when i send google the repair inquiry till i got my phone back, i got the same one back, others have just gotten an replacement i believe

    Hey y'all. Catch a Gigaset GX6 Pro and let us know how repairable this handset is. Has the basics; phone jack, SD card, dual SIM, and get this - a *replaceable battery.* I'm looking at it as an upgrade to my current (and no longer supported) LG products, and anything that's like my LG P870 catches my attention.

    I wish the pixel calibration software was more consistent. You need it post-repair to get fingerprint sensor to work and it’s been so hit or miss

    220 quid is a bit much for this imo, thats more then half of the value of the phone used. i can get it repaired by google themselves for £200 so why is my own installation more expensive

  • @cursedwolf23
    @cursedwolf23 Před 20 dny

    Thats not the reason why the parts are expensive. They have to pay for overhead and employees i used to run a phone after my friend left it was too much by myself so i closed down

    Those steps to remove the old screen only work if your screen is not shattered... so this is kind of misleading tbh.

      just place tape on it and it won't shatter during the removal process
