Some really fine albums! I started collecting ESP over 50 years ago and have quite a few. Way less expensive back then. That Albert boxset looks great but I'll be satisfied with the double album I've had since the 70s. I bought the first volume in Japan while in the Navy and then bought the double after getting out. I bought the Sun Ra performance from the same concerts and Cecil Taylor as well. Happy collecting!
If I had both of those volumes, I think I wouldn’t have bought the boxset either! I did find Vol 1 of the Cecil Taylor concert but still looking for the the other 2 parts! Thanks for watching!
Seeing the Sonny Sharrock and the Pharaoh Sanders reminds me of listening to one of the shows that they did together in Germany 1992. It really sounded great. Really liked seeing all of the Albert Ayler pressings Joe. Do you have a favorite. I would appreciate knowing which one you would vouch for as his very best. >< Great to see you again~ Rob/Boston
That’s awesome you got to see that show, I’m jealous! It’s tough to pick a favorite but I really like Bells and The Last Album but I also enjoy the different sound of New Grass! Do you have a favorite?
@@analog_archive I actually did not see them in person Joe. I should have been more careful with the way that I worded it. I have seen quite a few amazing shows since 1971. But I never had the pleasure to see these guys. I actually watched it here on You Tube.
Joe awesome pickup’s I totally agree with you on Thembi killer album I wished Pharoah Sanders had more solos his tone is killer. That Sonny Sharrock is so underrated Elvin Jones definitely controls the sessions with his magnificent drumming . Nice New Grass find that and Albert Ayler I’m after his playing is so fluid Joe awesome episode.
Fantastic finds Joe. Haven’t seen some of these. Thanks for sharing. Be well!

Nice pickups!. I got an og of Thembi recently, and have an og promo of Clifford Jordans In the world.
Congrats on those finds! Would love to find that Clifford Jordan album!
@@analog_archive thanks, I got really lucky to find a promo copy of that one. Strata east is great!
It's a dolphy series as well. I would definitely consider it a grail in my collection.
Take a shot for every time he says “great”

Thanks Lovell! Really on an Albert Ayler kick!
I need to check out Sonny Sharrock, I've been hearing his name mentioned a lot lately.
@@drewweissmann1486 Definitely check out the album I showed in this video (Ask the Ages). Really great blend of free jazz with an electric guitar lead
@@analog_archive will do.
The new Ayler rsd boxset is excellent if you can find it.
Where did you find the Revelation boxset?
I found it at Bop Shop Records in Rochester NY
Thx so much. I've contacted them, will call tomorrow
They still had the Ayler box, but wouldn't give me the same deal you got. Said you're a great regular customer!
