Used to travel from Paddington to Putney bridge back in 1980 for 2 years. Getting back in the evening was a bore cos 50% of trains did not go direct then l had to change at earls court. Nevertheless it was a civilized journey. The walk over the bridge did me good.Cant believe that was nearly 40 years ago. Wimbledon Hill was a great place. Good pubs and restaurants and of course the common. Brilliant in the summer.
It has only just occurred to me that the reason why the S Stock sounds so different from previous batches of Sub-Surface Underground trains is that the suspensions of the S Stock are superior in a sense that the wheels make very little noise, whereas previous batches of Sub-Surface trains had primitive suspensions which caused the wheels to administer heavy blows to the running-rails; so the only real sound that comes from the S Stock is from the motors and MGs.
why am i watching my whole commute on the district line to remember what normal life was like and actually getting emotional lol

The Tramlink has Wimbledon but it doesn’t have other stations! The Trams also has National Rail Services for other stops!

Its kinda weird when it gets to Wimbledon Park it says "The next station is Wimbledon, This is a district line train to Wimbledon" I know its meant to be like that but.. eh..
I agree. It should be like the DLR where it says "the next stop is bank, where this train terminates. when leaving the train, please remember to take all your belongings with you when you leave the train" after leaving the stop and then again on approach instead of "This train is for Bank, the next stop is Bank"

As my personal opinion I think they do cause he has a camcorder.Here in Athens I'm recording on a phone and I have it like X2K9 and they are staring me weird.Especially an old lady one time.I was recording a bus-spotting for my channel and an old lady started shouting me!!😂😂

+Trains And Busses Of Athens quite recently i was trainspotting a station in the UK. I was standing outside the ticket barriers because i didnt want to waste my money on my oyster and I wasnt gonna be there for long. An african couple were sat behind me when the man called me and asked "are you ok". i go yes, then the women says "are you waiting for someone". i say no and just walk off out the station and head home because I was truly embarrassed. 😂😂😂😋 I hate them for doing that. i wasnt filming or anything, just standing and looking!! I am too scared to go back now!!!!

***** I mean trains coming from Upminster Via Victoria not From edgware road
Ive never seen a train from platform 4 go to Wimbledon
***** when I get on the district line for Richmond or ealing Broadway the train pulls in at platform 4

That’s the Romford - Upminster shuttle service.
But it wasn’t by London Overground at the time of this video, I don’t think.
That's just a London Overground class 315 ex Abellio Greater Anglia liveried train
