Liquid Water Text Reveal in After Effects Tutorial

I show you how to create a water/liquid text reveal effect in After Effects. Learn about wave warp matte masking and animation like positions, scale and rotation make precomps and use mo graph editor.

3:36 - This is called Bezier Curve. If handles for curves don't apear for you: add keyframes like in video, select your shape layer, right click position, select separate dimentions, now select graph editor, select two most right points and press on down right "easy ease in" and adjust it to your liking.

Start to use AE step by step. Do only smaller projects first and build up overtime with more complex tasks. Hope that is helpful good luck mate. And practice practice

Use the photo and replace my text layer. You have to cut out the background for your photo in Photoshop or mask it in AE.

How do you do alpha matte? I'm trying to find the shortcut or options for it.

Maybe the option is hidden on your timeline. On the screen bottom left corner there are 3 little icons. Press all of them to be blue. Then you should be able to see the alpha matte modes etc.

Yes you can do that.
Use the logo colours insted of my blues. Hope that helps.

You can use Pinning in the Wave warp options, select all edges and it will fill screen

Right Click on the grey bar next to the "Layer name" text and go to "Columns" then make sure you tick the mode etc in. It should fix it

Hi,
You can put a tint effect on your bubble layer. Using the tint effect you can pick colours. Option 2 is use a hue saturation effect and play with the slider there.

Hi there.
Umm its a hard question because it is a default effect. Try to upgrade your AE for a newer one. Unfortunately that us the only solution.

You can adjust the keyframes for the filling effect. Grab the last keyframes and slide them right. So the animation will fill up in time longer.

My motion graph doesn't even look close to what you're showing... it's red and green and the moveable dots are linked so I can't make the two big flops like yours.

Right click in your time line when you are in the mo graph an select speed graph. That should bring up the right one.

On the top bar menu. Click Composition Add to Render queue. And set up where you want to render and what format. Hit render.
Or you can use media encoder too.
