I'm 39. I have a Belgium Malinois that keeps me active. I had Cancer at 28. I beat it. But my 2 loved ones didn't. I think I had a mid life crisis younger than I was meant to. But I'm at the stage in life where I do what I want, when I want. I let nobody or nothing dictate my decisions. Do what you want, even if the people around you disagree. You control your happiness. It won't always be happy, but if you can do the things you love all the time you'll be a lot happier. It took me 20 years to realize the secret to my happiness was to be alone. I want it no other way. I love it this way.
Im almost 40 and im feeling that id be best off to just be left alone entirely. Im not there yet, but it seems blissful

I think it’s too unbearable to live in the reality of how insignificant we are logically, our brains just decide to be oblivious. Only until the harsh reminder like Kurzgesagt or this video when existential crisis is reminded and feels like new.

I have had that 3rd option desire “To Not Exist” since I was a little kid and I remember asking my family why are we here for and they couldn’t ever understand me, till later in life, I understood, that it was just me that knew I was not supposed to be here.

From a Buddhist perspective this would be quite understandable, perhaps your previous life was a good one, you possibly previously existed in a heavenly realm. The goal of the practice of Buddhism is liberation (nibbana), not just from psychic irritants in this life, but from samsara (cycle of life and death) so as to potentially truly cease existing…. if that’s your goal. After all endless rebirths, even into heavenly realms, may ultimately be…. unsatisfactory. ❤

@NOKEEZY Yes, it seems as futile to resist the inevitability of existence as it does to resist the human striving all the time. Do we just have to accept the fact we are structured for striving, and given a long enough timeline we come into existence over and over again? Is Nhilism even possible?

@@roknrollonline It's going to get repetitive, but just keep up what you are doing. Never take having your job/home/car for granted. Because if you lose any of them, things can fall apart rather quickly. Just try to keep it together. Maybe practice meditation. Meditation/Prayer help immensely. Focus on what you really want out of life. I'm 38 and you are doing better than me, for example. Just do me a favor and appreciate what and who you have in your life. Especially your health/well being. I'm injured and it makes me feel so weak and depressed, it sucks. Stay well, my friend. Love God, yourself and your neighbor and all will be well.
I am nostalgic for every time before now, tomorrow I will be nostalgia for today. Paired with the existential dread of the future, every day after today, could be my day of defeat.
All i can say is i feel the same
I'm pretty much inexistant. I barely have one friend who's not close or fond of me, I'm in a foreign country and most people in my hometown either think I'm dead or they completely forgot about me. The only thing that's left is physical death, which unfortunately feels close due to some yet unknown illness.
Ok, I have to point out a few facts. I don't know how most of you are, but you don't "die" when you go to sleep. I'm still conscious and have dreams or nightmares when I sleep. Saying this, I realize that it could be the reason why I feel many times older than my actual age, since I am probably experiencing so many things in my sleep. It also leads to many deja vus, there are only so many things or places.
Another thing to point out is... just enjoy your darn life however you can! Trust me... you don't know it until you're actually getting close to death. Go on long walks, listen to music... even if you've done it before. Even if you're trapped with someone or somewhere terrible, just try to enjoy the little things... just go, run away or do what you can. It doesn't matter. If life's terrible or it feels like it has no purpose, then there is no harm in trying to enjoy ANYTHING, right?
Well... I know you might still not agree or understand...sorry to waste your time.

For ME "Fear of Death" is ALL about not wanting other people to feel sad when my body dies and Nothing about ME thinking that "i" would "Disappear" as i already KNOW what we are NOT and that very well, so i am not afraid of this process at all as we have all done it, Every time we end up here in human form.😘☺🥰😀

The thing about such videos is, when all is said and done you're no wiser. You come here out of curiosity, not looking for answers, for you know upfront there won't be any. However, this is an excellent sleeping aid. I do find this Master Yoda excellent for trying to fall asleep.

Usually you're right. But surprisingly I got more from this then. Talking to everybody in my lifetime about death. Everybody else just completely accepts it and says that I'm crazy for not being able to accept it to me. Life is all there is and death. Is the ultimate slap in the face? But I had never really thought about not existing. That might be the only thing worse than death.

Your mind and body fell in love with this temporary, worldly life, while not being able to recall you existed in a true, prior form. The soul carries on. So there is no need for you to make your peace with an empty void and with oblivion.
@Algolxxxxxx I would hope your right but it's just as likely that even if this universe was divinely shaped. And each of were planned to be created at the beginning of time and existed before this universe started that, that's all it was, timing. The energy we perceive as matter from this 3d gigantic (relative to atoms or bugs or the first complex organisms) eventually created you. Your life is predetermined. You, your thoughts, ur body. Only exist while the energy is still running through ur circuits when the breaker trips ur done. We might as well have never existed
@@Tgod664 On a material level, what you're saying does make sense. For example, if you could re-create another Universe from the beginning, but have the exact same quantities as our Universe, in exactly the same manner, the Universe should develop a perfect copy of this Universe. You and I would end up existing. You would have the exact same thoughts and the exact same patterns would arise every time. How could it be any other way? Why would it be any other way?
What this means is there's no randomness or freewill. It's all an illusion. It's all predetermined from the initial blueprint of the Universe.
However, this view is solely based on our limited science rulebook and material understanding of the nature of things. The total realm of existence is much greater and we do not know what percentage our material realm comprises of that or what other influences are at work in the whole.

I usually can escape myself if I am not constantly reminded by others. Like I don't bother myself, and I don't need to bother others but people get stuck at shit that in the end doesn't even matter..
I really like this video and I think it does a really good job of categorising and expressing what I’m worried about, but I think you should put links to some of the videos you used. The last 15 minutes had a lot of footage and script pulled from another video by Melodysheep called Timelapse Of The Future. I don’t think it’s very respectable to take things without credit, it would be cool if you linked their channel and video in the description along with others.
To share in my suffering , to better serve others and dedicate my life to spiritual growth 📈 and helping others . I wouldn't be me without each and everyone of you who helped make me . Become aware of it , a lot of suffering is directly correlated to material wants and so called "Needs" therapy for me , is not comparing myself to others , and being outside serving others ...

If you've ever played "The Sims", the concept of being controlled by a being outside of our perception makes more sense....as above so below, we would be the physical avatars of a higher being that was actually in control. I know it sounds non-sensical to some....but when you see a sim on your screen that you mirrored after your spouse irl, ACT like said spouse without your direction...it opens your mind a little about what's possible. That and the movie Avatar!

stimulated vs depressed, its a thing too, mentally you are wired one way or the other, fight or flight is the stimulant response to situations you dont like, where as depression you just avoid the situation to avoid those feelings you know will be coming, we all have preconceptions and ideas about what is coming, no one just lets the dice roll

The idea of "it" being _better_ to not exist would require you to exist in some sort of metaphysical state before you existed. There was no such metaphysical peaceful state _for you_ before you existed. You simply didn't exist. All that existed back then was everything that was in the universe back then. So there was plenty of life back then, and therefore plenty of consciousness via all the living brains back then. My dead grandmother isn't currently in some sort of peaceful state. She no longer exists... The only experience that exists after she died is the conscious experience being done by all the _living_ brains.
Heres a thought experiment that should make clear what im saying:
Imagine a universe that's completely devoid of all life. But then a life pops into existence. Then, because of that living brain doing consciousness, conscious experience ensues. So now there's experience as a result of a life coming to exist. Now... You can imagine this life is the one reading this right now, or any other life. Either way there's experience as opposed to "peaceful oblivion" or whatever people call this preferable concept they believe in. It was merely the coming to existence of a life that's responsible for experience. (In the thought experiment) If you decided that this was some other life as opposed to the one that's reading this right now, then ask yourself: how would I stop this life from being imposed if I don't exist in order to stop it from being the one imposed? Just as your lack of existing didn't stop your life from being imposed. Not existing does nothing to stop a life from being imposed. If it were not this life (the one reading this), then it would have been some other life. One that exists; as opposed to some preferable peaceful state protecting you from some other life from being imposed.
Channels like this keep pushing this snake oil... They're selling people the idea that not existing is better, and some will be motivated to self delete to achieve said illogical nonsense. Its a deepity.
Better as a negation, not as a positive stance. Of course, it is not comparatively better. The meaning of better here is as a lack of something worse.

If it is slowing down, looking back the universe would have allowed the speed of light to go a little bit of a faster speed and those moved lines on spectrograms are actually just a result of the universe slowing down as it gets older. We see things how they were, maybe the light didnt stretch over spacetme, what if it did actually look like that back then

Sometimes I feel I really need to sleep bc it gives me peace. But I assure u it will get better. Our minds can be confusing that's for sure. But we are all in this life together, we have eachother and no one is struggling alone even if we don't realize it. God loves us more than we can imagine. We fall into existensial crisis bc we lack knowledge and can't understand the world around us. And I had fallen deep into it. Only with God things can make sense. Even when they don't it's still more peaceful bc we know we can trust Him with whatever happens. I really reccomend looking into Eastern Orthodox Christianity. Trust me on this.

This is proven by the common knowledge that religious people go through existential crises, ie "crises of faith", like anyone else.

Still don’t see the point in trying to rule out solipsism. It’s just a possibility and realistically if everyone other than you were a philosophical zombie (a biological machine that functions the same as a person with consciousness, etc they have no internal experience and thus no internal sense of self or consciousness) vs being an actual conscious person, it’d make no difference because, externally, they both function the same way.
