    The Shimano 520 pedal is no joke I've had the same pair for years now they've been on at least 3 bikes indestructible absolutely no need to spend more when they are this good.

      @CycleXplorer Před měsícem +2

      They are good. Got a couple of pairs. The 540 is also nice for a little less weight but not the cost of xt or xtr.

      Same here . I own four road bikes & they have the Shimano 520.
      My bike mechanic always telling me to change them.
      I love them.

    I love the 105 (11-sp mech), GP 5000 AS TRs, and Supakaz bar tapes on my road bike.

    I have wrapped many bars with superkaz tape and it by far has the most grip fompared to other popular brands... with that being said it also has a tenancy to separate with heavy use and it could be more padded/or atleast more squishy.

    GP5000s are great tires, but its not recommended for casual riding sure there are lots of variants such as the ASTR STR but it often loses traction on a wet corners if youre using the TT TR var
    520 and 540 pedals are also no joke ive had it on 4 bikes it was my starter cleat for 12 years now its still durable and pretty comfortable
    Elite bottles are quite great i guess but im not a bit of a fan of magnetic locks

    While Supacaz bar tape admittedly looks good, it is also heavy, and +30 Euros is way too much money for an article to be used for and thrown away after one year. Best bar tape is Deda, hands down (pun intented)! Costs ou under 10 Euros, is super-lightweight and is available in hundreds of colours.

    Even though are chinese (whatever that means for you) but the TPU tubes are everywhere, even big bike brand shops where I live are selling them now.
    They are cheap (cheaper online) and great.

    Continental GP5000 - no thanks! Pirelli og Hutchinson for me. Continentals are great tires and I rode them for years. They´re just WAY to hard to get on and off. Pirelli and Hutchinson are just as good AND are easy to get on and off the rim.

    lol, ironic considering Colnago rushing heads over themselves to prove you wrong by releasing a rim brake c68.

    Well, let's just change 2 things, Conti to Michelin tires, everyone knows that Michelin os better and chraper, then we have tools from Decathlon, everyone knows they are on par and cheaper!

  • @atsr_
    @atsr_ Před 29 dny +1

    The Continental GP5000 are THE WORST tires when it comes to getting them mounted on the rim. Sticking with Michelin Power Cup or the new Pirelli 4S (the one made in their new Italian factory)

    I didn't like the clincher 5000s. Coming from the 4000s, they were way more distributive susceptible to abrasions, punchers, and pinch flats at the same PSI and on the same DMV roads.

    Supacaz is the worst bartape I have used. Not comfortable, plastic, stinky. I have compared with fizik, lizard skins, bontrager, prologo, merida. Never come back to supacaz.

    Is this an advertising channel ? Who gives a rats @rse what All ( ??? ) Cycling Journalists like or not ? I've got a 'Park Tool' bike stand and it's a piece of sh!t ! An expensive one at that. Some people have to get a bank loan to get a pair of 'Rapha' socks. I used to buy expensive bike gear and it's no better than most of the cheaper stuff and I stopped doing that. It's mostly brand name marketing fluff that one pays for.

      You win the cycling internet award for this post . Aldi bike stand owner here, £25 and it’s awesome. Galibier is my “ posh” kit , Planet X / Carnac are my workhorse kit. Granted I spend a bit on my bike , however it’s my pride and joy.

      I totally agree with you, I bought bike stands off Lidl and Halfords, usually at sale prices and never had a problem with them! Kit wise, I buy all my bib shorts etc and jersey's off Aliexpress not the dirt cheap ones but what I perceive as better quality! Usually surpass branded with quality! Bought some " Sidebike" Carbon shoes and they're as good if not better than western branded! I also dabble with a bit of Siroko, but for both I watch the sizes as they're seemingly designed for midgets! 😂 I've had stuff from Castelli et al, mostly over priced shite that lasts 5 minutes! No more!
