Accounting and finance is a very solid degree especially if Russell. If two years work experience also then you will stand a chance. You need to know how to advertise yourself and screen jobs more in my opinion, networking is what you need to build on.

@Suj Hey! I’ll be coming to Edinburgh this September :)
Any idea how’s the part time job market over there? And are you finding it easy to do a part time and study at the same time (assuming you’re doing a part time job ofc)?

I'm almost done with MSc Business Analytics in The University of Nottingham and I can confirm that people without work experience will suffer beyond normal. I also don't have any work experience and it even affects chances to get a decent part time job also (only restaurant and pub jobs don't need experience). You will eventually get a job though.
I believe this crisis is due to the huge number of dependents. UK is cancelling dependent visa for students so it might change the landscape a little bit.
So my advice is only opt for a masters here if you get a good scholarship.

My 2cents to you, just going abroad is a big thing, work hard, no seriously work hard
Make connections, real connections, you will get there.
But still why would anyone choose UK?
I avoid countries with too many Indians, the same sh#t we see in India, with yrs of experience just for entry level jobs is seen in other countries, because HR is an Indian most likely.

My son completed SCM from a Russel group uni in sep 2022. Only one student, who is from Greece got SCM job, just because he has experience in SCM and the job requires knowledge in Greek language. Non among his batch mates got sponsored jobs till date. My son is working now in a field where he has experience and is very well paid but his job is not a sponsored one.
The positive side is he could recover the study expenses of 21 Lakhs by now (savings).
My son reached upto the final rounds of few well knon corporates, but turned down at the last stage as all of them want PR status persons.
Think twice .Wish you all the best
